are in line with the course goal. This is also can encourage the students to
learn more about the material. However, teacher with limited knowledge or
access of knowledge will hard to make the students engage with the teaching
and learning process.

A minimum competency testing can affect several sub skills. According to Asu
(2004, as cited in Rahman, et al., 2011), there are several outcome areas that
are potentially affected by teacher training program. These include (1) teacher
knowledge, (2) teacher attitudes and beliefs, (3) teaching practice, (4) school-
level practice, and (5) student achievement.
The facilitators can record the meeting so that the teachers who have

which Indonesian students in rural areas no longer need to go to big cities to
get a better education, thus the rural community can retain their talent to help
develop villages. In the long run, the social and economic impact will be
enormous, especially in helping the government’s effort at regional
development equalization.
Example of OTPD that the government of Indonesia has established so far is
Guru Belajar program. The aims of this program are to know about National
Assessment, to analyze the National Assessment, etc.
It is quite effective program for teachers, because there are 200.000
participants who excited followed the program.

teacher should be supportive, have a fresh outlook, don't give up, set

these things. OTPD should focus on particularly content. It helps teacher to be
more focus on the training. Then, OTPD should be an active learning to
optimize the role of teachers as the main part of the training. Moreover, it
better to consider that the OTPD should provide spaces for collaboration to
the others. OTPD also should provide model effective practice to make the
training more contextual. Thus, it is a must that OTPD has to provide coaching
or support from the experts. Reflection and feedback are also necessary to
engage teachers' participation. And, it should has sustained duration.
Actually, the most effective platform is depends on the needs. However, there
are so many platform that have adequate features. Let's say google meet and

To maximize student learning, teachers must have expertise in a wide-ranging
array of competencies in an especially complex environment where hundreds
of critical decisions are required each day (Jackson, 1990).
So does about the teachers' competency to conduct online class. It is important
because the most powerful influence on student success is teachers. If
teachers are not prepared well, it will cause to students' achievement.
The solution is maximizing teachers' competency in the critical aspects to

Considering ability to engage and understanding of technology are quite
important. As we know that technology is growing at a rapid pace. However,
not only need to understand the latest in technology, but you must also know

Different teachers have different needs, depending on such factors as the

commonalities among schools serving different groups of students, with
benefits to all partners. In addition, it can tap into expertise no matter where it
is located, so that teachers with a specialty or an expertise can serve as

Today, we live and function in a digital era where students are constantly
exposed to the latest trends in technology and media. When teaching these
new-age students, it becomes important for teachers to be flexible and find
new ways to improve their teaching quality. This not only helps them to be
more effective in the classroom but will help their students learn and retain
the information in a better way. Here is my suggestion, start to use technology
in the classroom. The teacher must be innovative and explore using
technologies that appeal to the students. This does not necessarily mean large
investments in screens and apps. Instead, teachers can use videos, digital

To keep paying attention on ethics and character of education in online
learning, teachers can monitor student activities during learning such as
activating the camera during the online learning process so that teachers can
see what students are doing. Although the achievement will not be the same as
educating students in offline learning, this can be one way to anticipate
student behavior outside of ethics and manners during online learning.
The development of skills in teaching will certainly have an impact on what
students get. These are interrelated because teachers who are able to convey
material well will be easily understood by students. This pattern also applies
in online learning, where teachers must be able to convey material maximally
by utilizing available technology.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers were directed to be able to teach
online, this is related to offline learning that cannot be implemented. The
obstacles faced by the teacher can be resolved by paying attention to the
possibilities in the online learning process. The teacher can prepare in more
detail and what things need to be prepared.
Yes, some of my friends who worked as teachers applied OTPD during the
Covid-19 pandemic. So far, the online learning process is still far from
achieving offline learning. This is because there are still many students who do
not fully participate in learning, there are still many students who are
negligent and do not focus on learning. So, there needs to be a future
development for online learning to make it more effective.
As far as I understand, online learning is still far from perfect for achieving
learning goals. So in Indonesia it is still very appropriate for the offline
learning process that involves direct interaction between students and
teachers. Thus, teachers can see directly the development of students.
