Numerical Problems on drag and lift force

Question1: A body has a length of 3.5m and projected area 2.8 m2 normal
to the direction of motion. The body moves through medium having dynamic viscosity of 0.01
poise. Find drag force?
Cd=0.20 for Re=5*106

Question2: A flat plate 2.5m long and 1m wide is held in a wind tunnel
such that coefficient of drag and lift are 0.20 and 0.60 resp. If the wind
flows at 45 km/h and if its density is 1.22 kg/m3. Find Drag and lift force?

Question3:- Experiments were conducted in a wind tunnel with a wind

speed of 50 km/hr on a flat plate of size 2m long and 1m wide. The density
of air is 1.5 kg/m3. The coefficient of lift & drag are 0.75 and 0.15 resp.
determine
1. Drag force
2. Lift force
3. Resultant force=(FD2+CD2)1/2
