After many years , farmers have adopted many new techniques ,more technologies in their

pursuits of greater yields. Twenty first century technologies have the potential to solve the
problems of the farmers. I believe that by moving to a robotic agricultural system we can
increase the production of the crop more efficiciently . Farmers and scientists have used plant
selection and breeding techniques to improve crop yield for years. Farmers have changed a lot in
last 50 years. Farmers are bigger, livestock are usually raised inside ,yields are higher ,less
manual labor is needed .In greenhouses devoted to fruit and vegetable productions ,engineers are
providing high technology mechanization as a way to reduce coasts and boost quality.

The devices which are used to monitor vegetable growth as well as robotic pickers ,are currently
being tested. Big machinery manufactures are not interested in investing their money in the into
agricultural robots as it goes against their current business " blackmore". We can use many more
techniques for the double food productios such as ripe for the picking ,the sensing technologies
that can help to manage health and welfare of their animals"animal trackers".

RIPE FOR THE PICKING

The Netherlands is mainly famous for the efficiency of its fruits and vegetables. There is lots of
efforts going into automatic harvesting but still human beings are better than robots. The
challenge is to quickly and identify the pepper and avoid cutting main stem of the plant. In united
kingdom strawberry harvester has developed by the green that he says can pick the fruit faster
than human. On the stereoscopic version it relies with the help of RGB cameras to capture depth
but it has the powerful algorithm that allows to pick the strawberry every two second. people can
pick 15 to 20 a minute as a estimation.

Many more our partners worked on the problem from last two years but finally damaged in the
sense that the solution is to responsive to share. He thinks that near about 5 years, managing
group of robots can step into the shoes of strawberry picker. The big difficulties to
commercialisation is that producers demand robots that can pick all type of vegetables but since
already there is robot available that remove waste leaves from the plants.

Another one more basic keyplace to look for efficiencies is timing. Picking too early is useless
as well as time wasting as it may be destroy the growth but picking too late slashes week off the
storage time. Many more scientiest at different institutes of agricultural is attaching sensors to
apples to detect their size and level of pigments chlorophyll and anthocyanin.Anthocyanin is
found only in epidermal cell vacuoles and increase in anthocyanin is due to the leaves exposed
due to full light.

To calculate the development stage ,data are fed into the algoritrhm and when the ripening time
come for picking ,growers are alerted by smartphone. So sensors are put on the different fruits
like pears, citrus fruits, peaches ,bananas and apples. The sensors has been put by the Zude-Sasse.
For cherry growers also smartphone app has been developed by her.The photographs of cherries
will be used by this app to calculate growth rate and quality score.

To keep the highquality as well as minimize costs thats all about growing fresh fruits and
vegetables
