ANALYSIS
1. Were the learning resources/materials is arranged
properly according to their function and
characteristics?

Yes, the learning resources of Pitogo High School were

arranged properly according to their functions and characteristics.

2. Do the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy

access on the materials by the teachers? Why?
Why not?

Yes, the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy access to the

materials by the teacher because the instruction was very clear and
was posted on the door before entering the center. The selection of
words in the guidelines was very clear.

3. What are the strengths of this Learning Resource

Center?
FS 3 TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
The learning resource was clean, the resources/ materials is
conducive for learning for the learners who wanted to study inside
the library. Therefore, the learners can easily access information
from the learning resources.
4. What are its weaknesses?

There were some parts of the shelves that has been destroyed.
There are some specific areas in the library that was not cleaned
well. The location of the library was located at the second floor of the
building so students may hard to go with it.

5. What suggestions can you make?

I will suggest the cleanliness of the center should be maintained.

The learning resources/materials should be always safe and good
condition so that it will not be damaged as time pass by and will be
useful for the next generation of learners. In addition, the center must
be placed in the safe area so that the learners will not be going to
use the stairs to avoid any accidents.

REFLECTION

I can tell that whenever I go to the library the first thing that will
caught my attention will be the computer because of its fast
searching capabilities but I am more confident in finding my research
in books and encyclopaedias because it contains reliable information
unlike the computers the information there are can edited by anyone
so there is a chance that the information that the computer has is not
that reliable.

EPISODE 2 : BULLETIN BOARD DISPLAY

To reach the target, you need to:

1. Look around the school for bulletin board
displays.
2. Pick one and evaluate the display.
3. Propose enhancement to make the display more
effective.
OBSERVATION REPORT

School Address : Negros St. Brgy. Pitogo, Makati City

Date of visit : February 16, 2018

As I look around and examine the board displays, I have

found out that every classroom has its own board displays. Some
classrooms have bulletin board for birthday of the students, classroom
cleaners, classroom officers, classroom activities and announcements
and the most common was the board display that contains the topic to
be discussed in a certain grading period. I have seen 3 board display
outside the classroom, but it was more than that if I will examine the
whole campus. Board displays located in front of the canteen, below the
Principal’s Office and also near to the entrance and exit of the campus,
most of it was announcements, activities or events in school and etc.
The announcements were written in a formal way that everyone can
quickly and clearly understand, the information arranged from past to
latest. Messages were clear enough as I read it and it can be easily
understood because there were no misspelled words or any
inconsistencies in grammar.

ANALYSIS

1. Did the display design reflect the likes/interest of

its target audience? why? Why not?
FS 3 TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
The bulletin board designs reflect to the interests of the learners
because it gives information clearly by putting several pictures
related to the topic. The whole bulletin board is attractive where all
students can enjoy while reading its content.
2. Was the language used clear and simple for the
target audience to understand? Why? Why not?

Yes, the language used in the bulletin board was clear and simple
that the target audience could understand immediately. It uses
information which was clear to the readers and the font size was also
clear that can be seen few meters away.

3. What do you think uses the purpose of the board

display? Was it effective? Why? Why not?
The purpose of the board display is motivational and decorative.it
is motivational because the messages can motivate the readers to
perform better and have greater confidence to promote peace and
order in their early age. It is decorative because it will add beauty in
the atmosphere of the school if it was creatively made.

4. What suggestions can you make?

I suggest that in making bulletin board we should consider the
neatness and proper arrangement of the pictures or information. The
purpose of the bulletin board should deal these three purposes: the
decorative, motivational and instructional purposes so that it makes
the readers to get better learning from it.

REFLECTION

in making a bulletin board we should consider the following aspects

the creativity, the appearance, the organization of information, the
fonts if readable and if the readers will not get irritated on the first
look. It is important to have these all in order to have a useful and
meaningful bulletin board.

EPISODE 3 : SLIDESHOW

MAP: Work through these steps:

1. Select a topic subject matter
2. Develop a slide presentation to support a learning
activity
To reach your target , follow the story board below:
1. Select a topic or subject matter
2. Develop a slide presentation to support a learning
activity on the topic.
3. Try out your presentation to a group of learners.
4. Write a narrative pointing out the strength and
weakness of your presentation.
STORYBOARD(ACTIVITY)

ANALYSIS

1. What are the good features of slide presentation?

2. Which of these features are present in the slide

presentation you made?

3. Which features are not present in the slide

presentation you made?
FS 3 TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Based on the slide presentation you have made, what are the features of
a good slide presentation?
1. A good slide presentation must be concise, direct to the point and insightful at t
he same time. It can have transitions and animations to emphasize a point
but should not be too much ‘coz it can destruct to the students. Its design,
layout, and formatting should be balance with the concept presented.
2. Information are visible for all
3. Easy to operate
4. Fonts are big and clear
5. Simple and short
6. Follow the 6x6 rule
7. Simple transitions
8. Clear, inviting backgrounds, images, fonts, color
9. Enhancements: graphics, animation, sound effects, music, hyperlink

REFLECTION

So far, I didn't encounter any difficulties in preparing my slide presentation

because I know already on how to use or make a power point presentation
since I was in high school. I have already the knowledge about it.

When I get their feedback about my presentation, the students mostly said

that it is nice. Maybe, they are only kids and the only word they know is
nice.

EPISODE 4 : TOOLS OF TRADE (TEACHING AID

BACK)

STEPS:
To reach your target follow the steps below:
1. Decide on a specific content area
2. Find out the learning resource relevant to your
topic that are available from you school/
university’s learning resource center
3. Develop a pile of teaching aids (flash cards,
picture, cut –outs transparencies)
4. Organize them in the box.

ANALYSIS:

REFLECTION

Among the materials used by my resource teacher, what I like

about what she did was the flip chart. Because of the creativity she
applied in making the flip chart and I enjoyed watching the color
combination that is very pleasant in my eyes. Also, I’d like to praise
the penmanship of my resource teacher. Her penmanship was neat
and artistic.

As what my resource teacher told me that there are difficulties

in making the instructional materials. On how to design it, what colors
are you going to use and combine and most especially on how you
are going to relate the instructional materials to your students. It is
also difficult when it comes to the expenses because we all know
that we are all suffering from financial difficulties but the nicest thing
my resource teacher told me was “expenses don’t matter as long
as your students will improve and become better.”

I really admire my resource teacher because she has shown

me that she is not only a good and effective teacher but also kind
person who has a big heart for teaching.

EPISODE 5 : TECHNOLOGY INTERGRATION IN
THE CLASSROOM

MAP:
1. Observed a class for three meeting, video tape if
allowed.
2. Describe how technology was integrated in the
lesson and how the students were involved.
3. Use the technology integration. Matrix to analyse the
technology integration done by the teacher.
4. Reflect on what you learned.

ANALYSIS

1. What is the lesson all about?

-The lesson is all about the history of theatre arts

2. What visual aids/materials/learning resources is the

teacher using?

-The teacher uses; laptop, projector and blackboard in her

teaching.

3. Observe and take notes on how the teacher

presents/uses the learning resources.

-The teacher uses the learning resources in presenting the basic

concept of her report, in giving an assessment to her students
and as the main visual aid in the class
.

4. Closely observe the learners’ response to the teachers

uses of learning resources. Listen to their verbal
FS 3 TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
responses. What do their responses indicate? Do their
responses show alternativeness, eagerness and
understanding?

-The learners tend to say “wow” on the technology used by

the resource teacher in her class discussion and its very obvious
that it really caught the students’ attention for it is seen in their
eyes that they very eager in listening to their teacher.

REFLECTION

If I will be put in the place of the resource teacher and will

teach the same topic to the same group of students I will still be
using the same technology she used, which are laptop and
projector, for the students seems to focus more on what I’m going
to say if there is a projected presentation of the topic that I will be
discussing. Another thing is that I found it effective because they
can easily see what I am trying to explain to them.

EPISODE 6 : MY E-WORLD

STEPS:
FS 3 TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
1. Observed a class and take note of the topic being
presented.
2. Surf the bet to find sites that provide support materials
and or interactive programs on the topic
3. Evaluate the materials or programs.
4. Reflect on your FS experience.

OBSERVATION

I’ve observed that their topic is all about history of theatre arts
and Mrs. Casuga shows to them about the different kinds of theatre
and who are the famous person in theatre. On materials he used is
the different kinds of mask that reflect the feelings of the presenters
in theatre.
