Abstrak
Media pembelajaran yang inovatif diperlukan agar dapat menarik minat siswa dalam mempelajari
matematika yang menjadikan pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermanfaat melalui serangkaian prosedur
yang tepat, menyenangkan, mampu menembus kebosanan, dan dapat menimbulkan semangat dalam
berkompetisi secara sehat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran
permainan ular tangga berbasis materi matematika dan mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran
permainan ular tangga berbasis materi matematika. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian riset dan
pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Pengembangan yang dilakukan menggunakan
model pengembangan 4-D, yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Diseminate. Setelah melakukan
analisis guru dan siswa dan analisis literatur, peneliti melakukan desain permainan ular tangga materi
bangun ruang sisi datar yang kemudian direview dan divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli evaluasi.
Hasil penilaian media oleh para ahli menyatakan bahwa media permainan ular tangga materi bangun
ruang sisi datar termasuk dalam kriteria "sangat baik". Setelah desain media direvisi oleh peneliti, lalu
media diproduksi dan kemudian diberikan kepada guru untuk diujicobakan kepada siswa. Hasil
penilaian media oleh guru dan siswa juga menyatakan bahwa media permainan ular tangga materi
bangun ruang sisi datar termasuk dalam kriteria "sangat baik". Berdasarkan penilaian yang dilakukan
oleh ahli media, ahli evaluasi, guru, dan siswa, media pembelajaran permainan ular tangga berbasis
materi bangun ruang sisi datar termasuk dalam kriteria “sangat baik” yang artinya media ini layak
untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran sebagai bentuk inovasi dalam pembelajaran.
