HOW TO fill out a .

pdf form using your cel

phone
While working from home you might find yourself in the need to fill out & sign digital documents (usually .pdf’s).
It could be a receipt, a vacation form, or a deduction authorization form, for example.

Finding a internet center to print out the form, fill it out and then scanning the form (or taking a photo) so you can send
it back by mail is an option, but not a very practical one. It costs money and time and it defeats the purpose of the
“Work at Home” initiative, putting you at risk.

If you have a smartphone, you can download, fill out, sign and send the document and save yourself some hassle.

Here’s how:

1) Download and install Adobe

Acrobat Reader from the app
phone or play store.

Please note that there are several apps that can get the job done; like Office, FreePDF, ReadEra, Drive PDF and others;
however, while testing them, we ran into some issues that did not appear with Acrobat.

Also keep in mind that to start using Acrobat the app will require that you log in with a Facebook or a Google account.

2) One you have Acrobat Reader installed, open the email and download the .pdf that you want to fill out. YOU
NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE PDF; if you try to edit it without downloading you might have issues later.
3) One you download it, hit the icon at the top of your phone to find the file:

Your phone will show you where’s the file. Click it.
4) When you click on the downloaded form, your phone might give you several options to open the .pdf with.
Select Adobe Acrobat.
5) Once the form opens, click on the blue “pencil” icon at the bottom of the screen and select FILL and SIGN:

6) Tap on the field you want to fill out and type in the information:
7) Most times, when you fill put a pdf form, a digital signature is required. If that’s the case with the form you’re
filling out then click again on the “blue pencil” icon once you’re done filling all the required fields.
Then click again on the FILL and SIGN Option
8) This time, click on a “pen” icon that will appear at the bottom of 6he screen
This is the tool to create the signature
9) The app will allow you to make your signature using your finger or a previously stored image.
For the example below I used the finger
10) Place the signature on the corresponding field:
11) At this point, you can click the SHARE button on the upper right corner, then select SHARE A COPY and finally
send by mail:

12) Or you could click the three buttons on the upper right corner, select SAVE A COPY to save the form to your cell
phones memory and later attach it to an email
