because the GMO crops are fortified

Why?

I believe that the benefits of GMOs outweighs its risks. Genetically-modified organisms
are among the revolutionary contributions of science and technology. Due to these enhanced
crops, we are able to enjoy sweeter strawberries, more crisp apples, edible corn, and bigger
eggplants. We derive from them increased nutrients which help in the natural processes of our
body. The cultivation of GMOs have also drastically changed and shaped our agricultural
practices, contributing to the welfare of our farmers. Hastened crop growth and increased
resistance to droughts and deadly pests have increased the production rates, resulting to higher
income. This is also a perceived solution in ending world hunger and poverty, since higher yield
means more food supply and more mouths to feed. Genetically-modified organisms also serve
as sources of treatment for different illnesses which has increased life spans, improved
lifestyles, and empowered economic performance. With respect to the negative impacts of
GMOs, I have faith that with the continuous developments in the field of science and
technology, research, and design, we can find means that are economically and
environmentally sustainable. In the end, it all boils down to human practices which can still be
altered and improved.
