1.What is robots? How can robots help the society especially in economic and in the life of human?

Robot, any automatically operated machine that replaces human effort, though it may not resemble
human beings in appearance or perform functions in a humanlike manner. By extension, robotics is the
engineering discipline dealing with the design, construction, and operation of robots.

Many people fail to realize that robots are actually creating new, high-paying jobs that require skilled
workers. While it is true that robots are replacing low-skilled workers and automating the tasks that they
perform, robots and automation are requiring jobs that focus workers on higher-value work. For
example, in manufacturing, robots can perform menial tasks such as raw materials sorting, transporting
and stocking, while higher-skilled roles such as quality-related tasks, which humans are more suitable
for, can be completed by higher-skilled workers.

While it is true that robots and automation are taking away entire categories of jobs across a
multitude of industries, it has never been a better time for workers to get higher-skilled, higher-paying
jobs as long as they become skilled and educated enough themselves to fill those roles.

2.Explain this statement “Information is very important tools for survival"

Good information, it is believed, improves decision making, enhances efficiency and provides a
competitive edge to the organization which knows more than the opposition. But in modern times
information has acquired a new status and importance as an organizational resource. Information helps
in avoiding the duplication of research. Information stimulates the thought process of the users,
particularly the scholars. Information helps the scientists, engineers, scholars, etc. to get well informed
with the current advancements in their subjects, and to keep them up-to-date.

3.What is biodiversity? Can you give some threats of biodiversity? How can we prevent the loss of
biodiversity in our ecosystem?

Biodiversity is the biological variety and variability of life on Earth. Biodiversity is a measure of
variation at the genetic, species, and ecosystem level. Terrestrial biodiversity is usually greater near the
equator, which is the result of the warm climate and high primary productivity.

Five main threats to biodiversity are commonly recognized in the programmers of work of the
Convention: invasive alien species, climate change, nutrient loading and pollution, habitat change, and
overexploitation.
We can participate in biodiversity conservation by increasing our knowledge of environmental
issues, increasing our awareness of the impacts of biodiversity loss, and increasing support for
government policies and actions that conserve our valuable ecosystems. We can become educators and
role models as stewards of the environment by aiding in the recovery of species at risk and preventing
other species from becoming at risk. Habitat stewardship consists of activities that range from
enhancing the quality of soil, water, air and other natural resources to monitoring and conserving
wildlife species and their habitat by donating the property to a land trust.

4.What is Genetically modified organisms? State some Advantages of GMO in agriculture and health.
What are the risk of GMO in humans, health and in environment?

Genetically modified organism (GMO), organism whose genome has been engineered in the
laboratory in order to favor the expression of desired physiological traits or the generation of desired
biological products. In conventional livestock production, crop farming, and even pet breeding, it has
long been the practice to breed select individuals of a species in order to produce offspring that have
desirable traits. In genetic modification, however, recombinant genetic technologies are employed to
produce organisms whose genomes have been precisely altered at the molecular level, usually by the
inclusion of genes from unrelated species of organisms that code for traits that would not be obtained
easily through conventional selective breeding.

The pros of GMO crops are that they may contain more nutrients, are grown with fewer
pesticides, and are usually cheaper than their non-GMO counterparts. The cons of GMO foods are that
they may cause allergic reactions because of their altered DNA and they may increase antibiotic
resistance. The advantages are overwhelming. The avoidance of famine in some poor countries is more
than adequate to compensate against all these ill-conceived complaints. Yield per acre increases are an
absolute necessity to keep in step with the population explosion which will never cease despite all the
good intentions.

5.What is nanotechnology? How can nanotechnology used by human in their daily lives?

Nanotechnology is an advancement interdisciplinary field that encompasses science and technology

that manufactures materials of great help to the improvement of various areas of society especially
health care, environment, energy, food, water and agriculture. It is a field that needs to be explored ,
not only by known experts but also neophytes, in order to advance our knowledge of science and
technology and more importantly , to help improve our quality of life.

Nanotechnology is being used in a range of energy areas—to improve the efficiency and cost-
effectiveness of solar panels, create new kinds of batteries, improve the efficiency of fuel production
using better catalysis, and create better lighting systems.

Therefore, by detecting pollutants by specific sensors, we can help protect the sustainability of
human health and the environment. Thus, nanotechnology provides us with a new approach to cut
down the waste production, reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and discharge of hazardous
chemicals in water bodies.Nanotechnological products, processes and applications are expected to
contribute significantly to environmental and climate protection by saving raw materials, energy and
water as well as by reducing greenhouse gases and hazardous wastes.
