Week 15: Problems and Solutions - ARG

Instructions: In your observation of our present economy, identify five (5) ethical problems and
formulate solutions on how to solve those problems. You may find news clippings and reliable
online sources to support your answer. Submit your output here in the drop box.
Answer:

1. Crime - Is an unlawful act punishable by a state or other people who have the authority
to arrest and judge the criminal and the way to stop a crime within the nation is to
prevent them from thinking of doing it. For example, to prevent a murder we must
always think what are the causes of it, like conflict, robbery, drugs, and many more, so
my solution to prevent a crime is increasing law enforcement within the nation and
improving the country's economy to decrease the poor or to help the poor.

2. Prostitution – The act or practice of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment, is
illegal in the Philippines and my solution for this is to reduce poverty, increased of trainings that
can offer jobs like TESDA, the creation of more jobs, and many more, because the main causes
of this is the increase of prices of goods and services, pre-mature home leaving, childhood
sexual abuse, and a poor financial situation.

3. Corruption – Is always present in the Philippines and quite popular in Aquino's administration
where a lot of the Philippine money was stollen and my solution for this is to create a program
that will keep an eye to the people within the government and rich businesspeople and improve
the salary that works for the government, because if the government which is in the center is
stable or solid, they will have enough control over the nation and prevent not only corruption
and crimes but also anything that will harm the people.

4. Bribery – Is also happening in the Philippines without us knowing and for me my solution for this
is to increase the salary of workers, so they won’t have any more reason to take the bribe,
because sometimes they take the bribe because of their situation.

5. Pregnancy – Or Teenage pregnancy is the act of engaging in unsafe sexual activities without
using contraceptive even President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed Executive Order (EO) No. 141
which adopts the implementation of measures to address the root causes of the rising number
of teenage pregnancies as a national priority on June 25, 2021. The solution for this is to
increase the sex education and introduced the use of contraceptives. Because the main reasons
for the high rate of teenage pregnancies are inadequate sex education (some girls do not know
that having sex can result in pregnancy or fully consider the responsibility of having children)
and a lack of access to birth control.
