Primary sources of Information refer to documents or physical objects written during


the time it was created. They provide direct or first-hand evidence about an event, object, person,
or work of art.

Secondary sources of information refer to those which interpret, analyze and


summarize primary sources .They are one or more steps removed from the event or the time
period and are written or produced after the original sources. It can be a restatement of an event
or discovery described in primary sources. Some secondary sources are used to persuade the
reader.

This is a clay jar in one of the old houses in town, it’s over a
hundred years old and still used to store and provide the
drinkers with cold sweet water.
This antique Tapayan is an example of a primary source of
information. It is a cultural relic or an artifact that will give
you direct information on how people from the past store and
keep their water cool.

If you are not feeling well and you go to a doctor for a


consultation, the doctor is your primary source of information.

A short documentary about the Philippine Indigenous


schooling amid the pandemic is an example of a secondary
source of information since it shows collective data of
interviews, video clips,statistics etc.

Based on the result of a survey conducted by the teacher for her Grade 6 Libra class
during the pandemic , there are 8 learners who have no other source of information aside from
the modules, and they have difficulty in answering the following subjects: Mathematics,
Science ,MAPEH and FILINO AND TLE. Using the MS powerpoint slides, present to the class a
list of what primary sources and secondary sources of information can be provided or donated to
them to assist them in answering their modules. You may include graphics or pictures.
