PRODUCT COVER.EPS 100 is a sheet of expanded polystyrene (EPS) cut from a block with smooth
DESCRIPTION edges, specific for thermal insulation systems. The hot wire cutting of the panels creates a
surface roughness ideal for applying all products from the systems COVER.therm by
Vimark. The product is certified for ETICS use according to the European Technical
Directive ETAG 004, suitable for use in both new and existing buildings.

®
COMPOSITION COVER.EPS 100 is a EPS Styropor sheet of BASF cut from a block with smooth edges
and chlorofluorocarbon free.

MIXING Verify that the substrate is completely even, remove where necessary any protruding
AND APPLICATION material and / or non-compatible material with the thermal insulation system.
The substrates must be healthy, stable, consistent, free of dust or inconsistent parts. The
surface must be dry and free of or protected from rising damp.
Place the slabs of COVER.EPS 100 with joints lined up and staggered by at least 25-30
cm, proceed to fit from bottom to top. Close to corners or edges, the panels should be
placed alternately to ensure proper tension absorption, taking care to position the final
panels of a length no less than 40% of the length of the slab itself. The joints between the
sheets must be applied in a staggered manner also in correspondence to door opening
and windows or in the presence of different structural elements (e.g. concrete/blocks).
The sheets can be fixed using POLYFIX or WHITE LIGHT.
If the substrate is coplanar, apply the adhesive to the entire surface of the slab using a
wide-toothed trowel. If the substrate is not coplanar but has widespread irregularities
ranging from between 10 and 15 mm, apply the adhesive to the perimeter of the sheets
and in centre points, guaranteeing a minimum area of adhesion equal to 40% of the size of
the sheet. After applying the adhesive, check that the product does not go over the sides
of the sheet whilst installing, to prevent the formation of heat bridges and ensure a proper
combination of insulating materials.
Insulating panels placed, occasionally check the surface is flat with a screed bar. Any
openings in the sheet joints can be filled by placing strips of insulating material or, for
cracks of less than 4 mm, using an injectable polyurethane foam filler
Once the panels are installed and the adhesive has dried, apply insulation fasteners to
improve further the adhesion and stability using anchors from the COVER.FIX.
Once mechanical fixing and edge protection is done apply a coating of POLYFIX or WHITE
LIGHT. Prepare the edges with mesh protectors such as PARASPIGOLO CAPPOTTO AL,
PARASPIGOLO CAPPOTTO PVC or PARASPIGOLO PVC GOCCIOLATOIO from the range
COVER.therm by Vimark.
Apply product to cover the entire surface with a metal trowel in a constant thickness no
less than 3 mm. Insert within the plaster layer from top to bottom the fiberglass alkali-
resistant reinforcement mesh ARMANET 4x4 making sure to overlay each strip by app. 10
cm. Setting phase completed, apply a second coat to even out the surface. The prepared
surfaces are then suitable for treating with finishing products from the range
COVER.therm by Vimark.

PANEL SIZES 1000 x 500 mm.

COLOUR White.

STORAGE 12 months in original intact packaging, protected from UV rays.

RECOMMENDATIONS Store product in a dry place, protected from humidity and away from UV rays and heat
sources. Avoid water filtrating under the insulation panels if applying in rain.
Install panels in temperatures between +5° C and +35° C. Application temperatures must
be guaranteed for at least 24 hours after applying panels.
Do not apply broken, damaged or dirty panels.
Fill any openings in the sheet joints by placing strips of insulating material or, for cracks of
less than 4 mm, using an injectable polyurethane foam filler.
Avoid placing EPS sheets directly to the ground. Use suitable starting profiles such as
PROFILI DI PARTENZA or sheets such as COVER.BASE. For further information about the
product COVER.therm by Vimark, please read the datasheets available on our web site
www.vimark.com.
