MASONRY
Quantity of CHB per square meter area of wall can be determine by 2 methods:

1. By Area Method
Area of wall 1.0m x 1.0m = 1.0m² …… divided by area of one hollow block
0.20m x 0.40 = 0.08m²…. equals 12.5 pcs of CHB ….. Therefore Area of wall
multiplied by 12.5 will give you the number of CHB needed.

2. By Layer Method
Area of wall 1.0m x 1.0m = 1.0m² …… divide the horizontal length by
horizontal dimension of the block 1.0m / 0.40m = 2.5 pcs …..then divide vertical
length by the vertical dimension of the block 1.0m / 0.20 = 5 pcs……multiply the
results 2.5 x 5.0 = 12.5 pcs.

Note: Any method will do…depending on which is convenient for you.

Note: Mortar for block laying and mortar for plastering

Example:
Total Cement 4.5 + 27 = 31.5 bags
Sand 0.375 + 2.35 = 2.625 cu. m.
