GRADE: 7-01 7-02 7-03 1 Class: Subject
TOPICS: Electrical circuits, breadboard usage, resistor, LED, switch and battery.
STANDARDS OF COMPETENCE:
The student can explain the definitions of electric elements meanwhile they
identify and construct simple circuits in order to understand the function of
each one.
The student can think over the importance of the technological environment
at school, assuming with responsibility the coexistence deals for the good
use of the resources and the positive attitude towards their classmates.

LED
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits
visible light when an electric current passes through it. The light is
not particularly bright, but in most LEDs, it is monochromatic,
occurring at a single wavelength. The output from an LED can range
from red (at a wavelength of approximately 700 nanometers) to
blue-violet (about 400 nanometers). Some LEDs emit infrared (IR)
energy; such a device is known as an infrared-emitting diode (IRED)

SWITCH
Switches control the power supply to a load. They can be found on everything
that runs on electricity. It's a simple ON/OFF switch which is connected to the
circuit. When a switch is set to OFF (open), the circuit path is open and no
current flows through a circuit. When a switch is set to ON (closed) a
continuous loop is created to allow current to flow through the circuit and
energize the load.
BATTERY
Definition: is a collection of one or more cells that his chemical reactions cause a
flow of electrons
