Dear Mr Palop:
In line with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office is
assigned to facilitate and distribute food packs to the different holding areas where LSIs and ROFs
are being quarantined and monitored for any possible signs and symptoms of COVID-19. This work
entails that those assigned should be on call and ready to do 24 hour shifts so that we would be
ready to provide hot meals at any time. However, we cannot deny that this is taking a toll on our
personnel’s well-being.
While our food unit can take shifts, our current driver, Mr. Rodolfo C. Gallaron, Jr. must be on duty
for 24 hours. He does this without complaint and his performance is exemplary. To allow Mr.
Gallaron to rest, we have allowed him to rest during Mondays and Tuesdays as a compromise on
our part since we struggle in finding available drivers during the weekends.
It is in this regard that we would like to request from your good office one temporary driver every
Monday and Tuesday to deliver food packs to the holding areas.
Should you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us through email at
pswdo.pgns@gmail.com or landline at (055) 500 9814.
Yours in service,
