Research Design:
For the research design the study will utilize the quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive-
correlational design.
It is quantitative because the variables of the respondent’s levels of knowledge, attitude, and
practices would be assessed and measured in the study.
Furthermore, it is non experimental as there is no manipulation of the independent variable
and there are no random assignments of participants to conditions or order of conditions.
And lastly, it is descriptive correlational because it studies the variables and the relationships
that occur between and among them.

Study Site:
The study will be conducted specifically at a jeepney terminal at General Trias St. Hulong Duhat,
Malabon City with regard to the study site.

Sampling:
For the sampling design, Non-probability, purposive is applied
Non probability method would be used since it involves non-random selection based on
convenience or other criteria, allowing the researchers to easily collect initial data. Specifically,
purposive sampling would be applied for this type of sampling where it involves the researchers
to use their judgement to select a sample that is most useful to the purposes of the research.

Sample:
The criteria would encompass Filipino male people whose age ranges between 18-45 years old.
A licensed professional jeepney driver and a resident of Malabon City. The participant should
also be able to read, write, and understand Filipino or English languages.
In contrast, the criteria that would not be included in the sample are those who are non-
resident of Malabon City and drivers of UV Express, Grab, Angkas, Taxi, Bus, and Tricycle and
others.
Instrument:
The data would administer a self-report or questioning method specifically self- administered
questionnaire wherein Section A contains the study participant’s demographic profile. Section B
would involve questions that assess the knowledge of the participant with regards to the
COVID-19 pandemic. Section C encompasses questions regarding the attitude of the participant
during these events. And lastly, Section D focuses on questions regarding the practices that the
participant acquired or has been applying since the occurrence of the pandemic.

Validation of Instrument:
The researchers adapt and updated the tool to suit the context of the analysis. Thus, the tool
will be checked for material validity by two infectious disease experts. In addition, a pilot test
would also be done to test for dependability which would be assisted by a statistician.

Statistical tool:
Descriptive statistics will be employed. As a statistical tool, frequency is utilized for the
distribution of observations within a given test because it provides a visual representation.
Furthermore, Percentages are calculations that show a proportion and is one of the most
frequent ways to represent statistics.
Also, Statistical mean gives important information about the data set at hand, it can provide a
lot of insights into the experiment and nature of the data and it is a measure of central
tendency that gives the researchers an idea about where the data would seem to cluster
around.
Lastly, standard deviation is a statistic that measures the dispersion of a dataset relative to
its mean and determines each data point's deviation relative to the mean.

Statistical tool (inferential statistics):

To test for the hypothesis, the inferential statistics is obtained specifically the Kruskal Wallis H
test to test the knowledge, attitude, and practice of the respondents.

Ethical Principles:
Research ethics govern the standards of conduct for scientific researchers. It is important to
adhere to ethical principles in order to protect the dignity, rights and welfare of research
participants. Specifically, the following are tackled as the Ethical Principles
Beneficence connotes doing good to others and invokes a wide array of moral obligation. By
eliminating and preventing bad situations and encouraging positive ones, this concept serves as
an obligation for researchers to protect their respondents from harm.

Moreover, respect for human dignity, it is a recognition that human beings have a particular
value inherent in their humanity and are deserving of respect as such.

And finally, justice, it is a moral obligation to act on the basis of fair adjudication between
competing claims and deals with moral choices through a measure of rights of the people
involved.

now ready to answer any questions, clarifications, and suggestions. Thank you so much.
