MODULE 2

TYPES OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

INTRODUCTION

We all need some recreation. It is that which recreates and renews. It should be a time to think new
thoughts, not ponder old ills. Recreation’s purpose is not to kill time, but to make life, not to make a
person occupied, but to keep them refreshed, not to offer an escape from life, but to provide a
discovery of life. There are different types of recreational activities such as, physical, social, outdoor,
and arts and crafts activities.
