WHAT I HAVE LEARNED
This lesson may help the students to remember the topic being discussed by the
teacher all we have to do is to answer the correct word to the underline to
complete the sentence below.

Everyone engages in moderate to vigorous physical activity, you need to

observe some personal safety protocol to avoid certain conditions related to
physical activity participation. These conditions include dehydration,
overexertion, hyperthermia, and hypothermia.
Each of these conditions should be taken seriously for each pose’s health
risks to you as an exercise. These conditions are usually associated with
exercising in different type of environment, like a hot or cold environment.
However, dehydration and overexertion may be experienced even when
exercising in environment that does not have extreme temperature.

WHAT I CAN DO

Direction: I will show a picture, identify what features are common in sports
clothing that make them suited in Philippines weather. Explain your answer
based on your understanding knowing, that clothes are appropriate to wear
during physical activity
1. Football – their sportswear has thin fabric so they can move easily and
avoid too much heat from the sun because this sport usually happens on
an open space where they could be exposed to it.
2. Beach Volleyball – athletes are dressed with their swimwear and they do
not wear shoes because this takes place on a beach where they play on
sand and it is normally hot and windy, so their attire will let them move
comfortably without affecting their performance.
3. Archery – in this sport, players wear lightweight clothes, sometimes with
long sleeves, to avoid sunburn. Some also wear a hat and sunglasses to
perceive clearly and prevent the sun glare.
4. Taekwondo – their clothing is typically cotton, long sleeves and pants,
because this is typically indoors and don’t need to worry about the
exposure to sun.
