This document summarizes the findings of two comparative studies. The first study compared the knowledge, beliefs, and practices regarding menstrual hygiene among 72 grade 6 students from a private and public school in Calamba City, Laguna. The study found their level of knowledge and practices were generally similar, though the private school students had more uniform knowledge and the public school students understood dysmenorrhoea better. The second study assessed cervical cancer awareness among selected females in Barangay Lecheria, Calamba City, Laguna. Both studies used surveys to gather data between November 2009 and March 2010.
