Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of Data

This data presented in this chapter were taken from the result of the questionnaire

which were tabulated, computed and analyzed carefully.

Table 1 shows the majority age of the respondents is seventeen (17) years old that

has fifteen (15) person or forty (40) percent, followed by the respondent that has an age

of sixteen (16) years old and have fourteen (14) person or thirty-seven (37) percent. And

the least age of the respondents is nineteen (19) years old that have two (2) person only or

five (5) percent and the last age of the respondent is eighteen (18) years old that has

seven (7) person or eighteen (18) percent.

Table 2 shows twenty-nine (29) or seventy-two point five (72.5) percent of the

respondents not addicted in using Facebook and eleven (11) or twenty-seven point five

(27.5) percent of the respondents are addicted in using Facebook. This means that most

of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College not addicted in

using Facebook.

Table 2.1 shows forty (40) or one-hundred (100) percent of the respondents agree

that Facebook can help them to connect in someone easily. This means that all Senior

High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College agreed that Facebook can help

them to connect someone easily.

some post of your friends?

Table 2.2 shows thirty-two (32) or eighty (80) percent of the respondents enjoying

clicking like or react on some post of their friend and eight (8) or twenty (20) percent of

the respondents not enjoying clicking or react on some post of their friend. This means
that most of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College

enjoying clicking or react on some post of their friends.

Table 2.3 shows seventeen (17) or forty-two point five (42.5) percent of the

respondents open their account once a month, thirteen (13) or thirty-two point five (32.5)

percent of the respondents open their account once a week and ten (10) or twenty-five

(25) percent of the respondents open their account once a week. This means that most of

the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College open their account

once a month.

Table 2.4 shows twenty-eight (28) or seventy (70) percent of the respondents

answered no and twelve (12) or thirty (30) percent of the respondents answered yes. This

means that most of the Seniors High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College

believe that Facebook is not helpful to their studies.

Table 2.5 shows twenty-three (23) or fifty-seven point five (57.5) percent of the

respondents spend one to two hours in using Facebook, ten (10) or twenty- five (25)
percent of the respondents spend three to four hours and seven (7) or seventeen point

five (17.5) percent of them says that they spend five above hours using Facebook. This

means that most of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College

not spend so many hours in using Facebook.

Table 2.6 shows thirty (30) or seventy-five (75) percent of the respondents using

Facebook to connect to other people, seven (6) or fifteen (15) percent of respondents

using Facebook to share their life experience and four (4) or ten (10) percent of the

respondents using Facebook to know the daily life of others. This means that most of the

connect to other people.

study?

Table 2.7 shows twenty-seven (27) or sixty seven point five (67.5) percent of the

respondents realize that Facebook is just a destruction on their study and thirteen (13) or

thirty-two (32) percent of the respondents answered that Facebook is not Destruction on

their study. This means that of the Senior High School respondents realize that Facebook

is just destruction on their studies.

 Chapter V

Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation

Summary

This study entitled “The Effects of Facebook in Senior High School Student of

San Francisco Javier College S.Y. 2017-2018” was conducted in Senior High School

Students of San Francisco Javier College. This study conducted to determine the effect

of Facebook to the daily living of Senior High School Students of San Francisco Javier

College. And also to determine the maximum time spend in using Facebook of Senior

High School Student of San Francisco Javier College. But most of all this is conducted

to finds out the good and bad effects of Facebook to the Seniors High School Students of

San Francisco Javier College S.Y.562017-2018.

This study has forty (40) respondents, the researchers gathered data by using self-

made questionnaires which they personally administered to the respondents. The

researcher used the descriptive method of research.

Based on the embodied data in Chapter 4, the researchers found answers to the

following questions.

Are you addicted in using Facebook?

Out of forty (40) respondents, twenty-nine (29) or seventy-two point five (72.5)

percent of the respondents not addicted in using Facebook and eleven (11) or twenty-

seven point five 27.5 percent of the respondents are addicted in using Facebook. This
means that most of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College

not addicted in using Facebook.

Do you agree that Facebook can help you to connect in someone easily?

Out of forty (40) respondents, forty (40) or one-hundred (100) percent of the

respondents agree that Facebook can help them to connect in someone easily. This

means that all Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College agreed

that Facebook can help them to connect someone easily.

In using Facebook, are you enjoying clicking like or reacts on some post of your

friends?

Out of forty (40) respondents, thirty-two (32) or eighty (80) percent of the

respondents enjoying clicking like or react on some post of their friend and eight (8) or

twenty (20) percent of the respondents not enjoying clicking or react on some post of

their friend. This means that most of the Senior High School respondents of San

Francisco Javier College enjoying clicking or react on some post of their friends.

How many times did you open your account?

Out of forty (40) respondents, seventeen (17) or Forty-two point five (42.5)

percent of the respondents open their account once a month, thirteen (13) or Thirty-two

point five (32.5) percent of the respondents open their account once a week and ten (10)

or twenty-five (25) percent of the respondents open their account once a week. This

means that most of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College

open their account once a month.

Is Facebook helpful to your studies?

Out of forty (40) respondents, twenty-eight (28) or seventy (70) percent of the

respondents answered no and twelve (12) or thirty (30) percent of the respondents

answered yes. This means that most of the Seniors High School respondents of San

Francisco Javier College believe that Facebook is not helpful to their studies.

How many Hours do you spend in using Facebook?

Out of forty (40) respondents, twenty-three (23) or fifty-seven point five (57.5)

percent of the respondents spend one to two hours in using Facebook, ten (10) or twenty-

five (25) percent of the respondents spend three to four hours and seven (7) or seventeen

(17.5) percent of them says that they spend five above hours using Facebook. This

means that most of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College

not spend so many hours in using Facebook.

Why do you used Facebook?

Out of forty (40) respondents, thirty (30) or seventy-five (75) percent of the

respondents using Facebook to connect to other people, six (6) or fifteen (15) percent of

respondents using Facebook to share their life experience and four (4) or ten (10) percent

of the respondents using Facebook to know the daily life of others. This means that most

of the Senior High School respondents of San Francisco Javier College used Facebook to

connect to other people.

Did you realize that Facebook is just destruction on your study?

 Out of forty (40) respondents, twenty-seven (27) or sixty-seven point five (67.5)

percent of the respondents realize that Facebook is just a destruction on their study and

thirteen (13) or thirty-two (32) percent of the respondents answered that Facebook is not

Destruction on their study. This means that of the Senior High School respondents realize

that Facebook is just destruction on their studies.

Conclusion

Based from the data collected, the researchers therefore concluded that Facebook

are have good and bad effects to the Senior High School Students of the San Francisco

Javier College. The good effects are they can easily connect to someone like their

family, friends and relatives. The bad effects is Facebook can be a destruction to their

study and also not helpful to their studies.

Recommendations

The Researchers recommend some ways to aware the Parents, Teachers, Senior

High School Students to the effects of Facebook.

For the Parents:

1. They should know the spend hour of their children in using Facebook.

2. They should know if who the Facebook friends of their children.

3. They must pay attention to social media life of their children.

4. They should know the thing do of their children in Facebook.

For the Senior High School Students:

 1. They must obtain using Facebook.

2. They must not focus their self in using Facebook.

3. They must know who Facebook friends of them.

4. They must not put their personal data that can give information to others.

5. They must focus their self in other things such as reading books than facing

computer or cellphone and clicking or reacting to your friend post.

6. They must know the person who accept or add of them in Facebook.

For the Teacher:

1. They must teach their student the proper use of social media.

2. They should encourage their student to join school activities and explain to

them how important it is more than Facebook.

3. They should observe their students every day in terms of attendance and

participation.

For researchers

The Researchers recommended to the next researchers to do further more research

about this study entitled “The effect of Facebook in Senior High School Students of San

Francisco Javier College” to enhance and strength our study.
