Sally is at the Louvre Museum*. She wants to go to the Arc De Triomphe**


Where does she go?

* The “Louvre” is one of the largest museums in the world.


** The “Arc De Triomphe” is a famous monument in Paris.

Instructions: Read the text aloud.

Stranger: Do you need some help, Miss?


Sally: Yes, please! How do I get to the Arc de Triomphe?
Stranger: Hmm ... are you taking the Metro or walking?
Sally: I'm walking.
Stranger: Head north on Rue de Rivoli toward the Passage Richelieu entrance.
Sally: Sounds complicated!
Stranger: Take the yellow line.
Sally: Where is the nearest station?
Stranger: Walk straight ahead to the gallery. The station is opposite it. Go down the
stairs. The underground path takes you straight to line 1.
Sally: Which direction?
Stranger: Take the westbound train. The platform is in front of the ticket booth. Get off
at Charles de Gaulle - Étoile station.
Sally: Where do I go from there?
Stranger: Turn right when you get off. Walk to the end of the pathway and follow the
signs.
Sally: Thanks!
Stranger: Not a problem! Enjoy the city lights!

When you give directions, use Imperatives, expressions and prepositions of place.
