Bottom Interfaces
Figure 1-2 shows the interfaces at the bottom of the ZXSDR R8861.

The side interfaces are located in the cable cavity. For a description of the side interfaces,
refer to Table 1-2.

1.3 Indicators
The ZXSDR R8861 indicators are located at the upper part of the cabinet side, indicating
the operation status of the RRU, see Figure 1-4.

External View
A protection grounding cable is a yellow-green one with a cross sectional area of 16 mm2.
Both ends are compressed with the TNR22-8 connector, and secured the bolt, see Figure
2-1.

Connection
End A is connected to the grounding bolt of the ZXSDR R8861, and end B is connected
to the grounding bar, see Figure 2-2.

The DC power cable is a 2-wire cable, and needs to be fabricated on site, see Figure 2-3.

Connection
One end of a DC power input cable is connected to the 2-core DC socket of the ZXSDR
R8861, and the other end is connected to external power supply equipment or the DC
transiting box, see Figure 2-4.
External View
The AC power cable is a 3-wire cable, and needs to be fabricated on site, see Figure 2-5.

Signals
Connection
One end of a power cable is connected to the AC socket and grounding terminal of the
ZXSDR R8861, and the other end is connected to the external AC power distribution box
with lightening protection, see Figure 2-6.

A feeder cable is a 50 Ω RF cable with a diameter of 1/2” and DIN connectors, see Figure
2-7.
Connection
One end of the feeder cable is connected to the ANT1/ANT2 interface of the ZXSDR
R8861, and the other end is connected to the main feeder or antenna interface, see Figure
2-8.

External View
The ZXSDR R8861 has two optical interfaces — OPT1 and OPT2— that support LC optical
fiber connectors. Figure 2-9 shows an optical fiber connecting an RRU and a BBU.
Connection
l When an optical fiber is used for the connection between an RRU and a BBU, end A
shown in Figure 2-9 is connected to the baseband RF optical interface (OPT1) of the
ZXSDR R8861, and end B is connected to the optical connector of the BBU.
l When an optical fiber is used for RRU cascading connection, both ends of the optical
fiber shown in Figure 2-10 are the same. One end is connected to the optical interface
(OPT2) of the upper-level ZXSDR R8861, and the other end is connected to the optical
interface (OPT1) of the lower-level ZXSDR R8861.
Figure 2-11 shows the optical fiber connection.

The AISG/MON cable contains an AISG interface cable, an MON interface cable, and a
one-to-two AISG/MON cable.

l Figure 2-14 shows the external view of a one-to-two AISG/MON interface cable.

Caution!
Before a cable is connected, the cabinet combination interface must be covered by a
protection cap.

Figure 2-16 shows the external view of a cabinet combination cable.

Connection
One end of the cable is connected to the cabinet combination interface (RXin / RXout)
at the bottom of a ZXSDR R8861 device, and the other end is connected to the cabinet
combination interface (RXin / RXout) at the bottom of another ZXSDR R8861 device, see
Figure 2-17.

Installation
A DC transiting box is mounted on the back or side of the ZXSDR R8861, refer to Table
3-1. A proper installation method is selected in accordance with actual space.
