Conventions
This manual uses the following convention.

1-1
MPPT Function
When the PU works in the MPPT mode, it can detect the generation voltage of the solar
battery panel in real time and track the maximum power point of the panel to improve
charging efficiency.
When the PU has a problem of reverse input polarity, it stops work. It will not return
to work until the polarity is corrected.
l Output overvoltage protection
When the output voltage exceeds the output overvoltage protection point, the PU
starts automatic shut-down protection and the fault indicator turns ON. The output
overvoltage protection point can be set with the monitoring unit.
l Output overcurrent protection
When the output current rises to 60–70 A, the PU starts automatic shut-down
protection and the fault indicator turns ON. After the fault is cleared, the PU
automatically restores work.
l Output fuse protection
Fuse protection is used at the output end. When an interior fault causes super large
output current, the fuse blows and the fault indicator turns ON.
l Overtemperature protection
When the ambient temperature rises constantly to 65 °C, the PU starts automatic
shut-down protection and the alarm indicator turns ON. After the ambient temperature
falls to a normal value, the PU automatically restores work.
1-2
When the fan has a problem, the PU starts automatic shut-down protection and the
fault indicator turns ON.

2.1 Dimensions
Figure 2-1 shows the dimensions of the ZXDT02–PU.
Dimensions of the ZXDT02–PU are: 41.5 mm (H) × 132 mm (W) × 300 mm (D).
2.2 Components
Figure 2-2 shows the component distribution of the ZXDT02–PU.
Table 2-1 lists the components of the ZXDT02–PU and their functions.

monitoring unit.
Table 2-2 lists the status indicators and their description of the ZXDT02–PU.

2.4 Interfaces
Figure 2-4 shows the integrated interface at the back of the PU. The electrical and signal
connections of the PU are made to the solar controller through this interface without the
need of extra cable connections. Table 2-3 lists the signal definitions of interface pins.
Note:
Interfaces not defined in the Table 2-3 are reserved interfaces.
2-3
Hot swappable 37, 38 Hot swappable The pin prevents the output terminal from arcing
pin pin (+) when the PU is inserted into the subrack.

4.2 Troubleshooting
Refer to Table 4-3 for troubleshooting of the PU.
The alarm or fault indicator 1. Check the fan’s rotation status. If it cannot rotate properly, clean

2. Check the photovoltaic input. If the photovoltaic input is not a normal
value, troubleshoot the photovoltaic components and photovoltaic
input cable.
3. If the problem persists, replace the PU with a new one.
The running indicator 1. Check whether the PU battery is being charged. If yes, it is normal
flashes. to see the running indicator flash.
2. Check whether the power indicator is flashing. If yes, it means that
the PU is staying in the "one-button query" status and it is normal to
see the running indicator flash.
3. Check whether the output current is too high due to a load reason. If
a load has a problem, disconnect the power circuit from this load.
4. If the problem persists, refer to the symptom of "The alarm or fault
indicator is On" for troubleshooting.
The PU has no output. The troubleshooting method varies with the indicator status:
l If the power indicator is Off, it means that the PU is not powered
on. Check the photovoltaic input.
l If the power indicator if On and the running indicator is Off,
refer to the symptom of "The alarm or fault indicator is On" for
troubleshooting.
The PU fails to be 1. Check whether the photovoltaic input voltage is below 45 V. If yes,
powered on. and the alarm indicator is On, it means that the PU is staying in the
power-off protection status due to the input undervoltage.
2. Install the PU to another slot and power it on again. If now the PU
can work properly, it means that the PU is normal.
3. If the problem persists, it means that the PU has a problem. Replace
the PU with a new one.
