BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

CONSTRUCTION OF FUNGUWE- MUWAFU SWAMP CROSSING IN TORORO

DISTRICT –
PROC. REF: MOWT/WRKS/20-21/00286
1. The Ministry of Works and Transport has allocated funds be used for the acquisition of
Construction of Funguwe- Muwafu Swamp Crossing in Tororo District.
2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above works.
3. Bidding shall be conducted in accordance with the procedures contained in the Public
Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 (the Act) and the Regulations made
under the Act and is open to all bidders. Reservation scheme shall apply in accordance
with PPDA guidelines 1/2018 on reservation schemes to promote local content in public
procurement.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document
at the address given below at 8 from 8:00am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday except on
Public Holidays.
5. The bidding document which has been prepared in the English language may be purchased
by interested bidders at 8 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX. 100,000/=. The
method of payment will be through banks authorised to receive non-taxable revenue.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8 at or before 11.00am on 3rd March, 2021. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 60,000,000/= (Sixty Million Shillings Only) .
Bid securities must be valid until 4 th October, 2021. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be
opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address
below at 8 at 11.30am on 3rd March, 2021.
7. There shall be a site visit at Funguwe – Muwafu swamp crossing in Tororo District on
9/02/2021 at 10:00am and a pre bid meeting at Ministry of Works and Transport, Main Board
Room on 12/02/2021 at 10:00am.
8. Bidders should note the following:
