Subject: CONSTRUCTION OF 5-STANCE DRAINABLE LATRINES,
WASHROOMS AND SOLARIZATION OF BOREHOLES
Tender Period/Bidding Period 16th March 2023 - 13th April 2023 by 3:00pm
The Uganda Red Cross society (URCS) is the Country’s leading
National Humanitarian Organization and member of the
International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. With Funding
from Austrian Red cross, URCS is implementing a project on Long
term Safe water coverage in Bidibidi, Imvepi and Yumbe refugee
settlements. The overall objective of the project is to contribute
to safeguarding the lives, health and dignity of south Sudanese
refugees and host communities in West Nile region, northern
Uganda.
URCS now invites Sealed Bids from potential bidders for the
following:
LOT 1: Construction of Wash Rooms for Girls in Primary Schools
in Goboro, Kerwa and Bidibidi Refugee Settlement
LOT 2: Construction of 5 Stance Drainable Latrines with
Washrooms in Goboro, Kerwa and Bidibidi Refugee Settlement
LOT 3: Solarization of Boreholes in Zone 4, Bidibidi Refugee
Settlement
1. Invitation to bid document can be picked from URCS Supply
Chain Office in Kampala located on Plot 551/555 Rubaga Road
from Monday, March 20th , 2023 to Wednesday April 12th, 2023
between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
2. Interested Bidders shall pick the Invitation to Bid document from
Supply Chain Department after payment of a Non- refundable
fee of UGX: 150,000= . The payment mode shall be cash for each
lot payable at the Uganda Red Cross Society Cash Office from
Monday, March 20th, 2023
3. Eligible Bidders must have:
• Registration/Certificate of Incorporation, income Tax
Clearance, VAT registration Certificate, 2023 Trading License
• Company Profile with clear memorandum and articles of
association and clear company management set up
• Evidence of relevant Experience in similar works
• Financial/ audited books of accounts for the last three years.
4. Qualified and interested bidders should submit sealed envelopes
to URCS Offices on plot 551/555 Rubaga Road Supply Chain
Management Office within the period indicated above.
5. Bid submission mode: One envelope submission method will
be used where the bidders are expected to submit one envelope
(technical Combined with Financial) for each Lot.
Bidding documents shall be submitted in sealed Envelopes clearly
marked “OFFER TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
OF WASH ROOMS FOR GIRLS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN
GOBORO, KERWA AND BIDIBIDI SETTLEMENT (LOT 1),
CONSTRUCTION OF 5 STANCE DRAINABLE LATRINES
WITH WASHROOMS IN BIDIBIDI SETTLEMENT (LOT 2),
SOLARIZATION OF BOREHOLES IN ZONE 4, BIDIBIDI
SETTLEMENT and addressed to; The Secretary General,
Uganda Red Cross Society-Attention Director Supply Chain
and Estates Management P.O Box 494, Kampala, Uganda not
later than Thursday 13th, April,2023 at 3:00pm.
6. All bidders or their representatives are invited to attend the Bid
Opening Ceremony on , Thursday 13th, 2023 at 3:30pm in the
Uganda Red Cross Society Boardroom
7. The Uganda Red Cross Society reserves the right to reject any
bid and is not bound to award the contract to the lowest bidder
or any other bidder
8. Any kind of lobbying will lead to a disqualification
