Recreational camping must be carefully planned


as you would want the whole experience to be
enjoyable and more importantly, safe. Whether
you go alone or with your friends of family,
staying safe during the whole camping trip is the
most important thing you should care about.

your camping trip.
BEFORE THE CAMPING TRIP
• Look for suitable campsite.

a safe campsite.
• Make a list of things you need to bring.
- Making a list of all things you need to bring allows you to
double-check your items.
• Practice creating fire and pitching a tent.
- Being able to create fire and pitch your tent efficiently will save
your time in actual camping trip.
• Be ready for the unexpected.
- Learn about the security in your campsite.
DURING THE CAMPING TRIP
• Stay away from wild animals and be wary of poisonous plants.
- Always keep in mind the possibility of wild animals or poisonous
plants being present in your camp location.
• Be careful with fire
- Always attend to your fire and be sure that when you put it out, it is
completely extinguished.
• Adapt and extend yourself.
- Try to learn new ways of doing things you have not thought of

AFTER THE CAMPING TRIP

- As you begin to repack your gear, make an inventory.
• Leave nothing but footprints
- Before leaving the camp area, make sure you have
kept and secured all your equipment and other
personal properties.
• Revisit your list.
- After your camping trip, revisit your list and omit
anything you thought was not useful.

engage in camping are pitching a tent and making fire.
Tent Pitching
- One of the necessary basic skills that a camper must
learn and develop is pitching a tent quickly and sturdily
as your tent will be your temporary home while your
outdoors.
Making Fire
- Is another basic skill all campers must learn. Its
importance is not limited to cooking, but also to survival.
