Letter of Recommendation

Rashtriya Haliya Mukti Samaj, Kanchanpur Nepal established in 2005 is registered in District

Administration Office, Kanchanpur, and affiliated with Social Welfare Council with a motive to
support social development. It is an autonomous, non-profit making, politically nonpartisan, and non-
government organization. it is focused on the rehabilitation of freed Haliya through the lobby, various
advocacy interventions on the land issue, and the construction of houses in collaboration with the
Nepal government. It has also worked on awareness, advocacy, women empowerment, human
resource development, and social welfare activities in Nepal.

Mr. Padam Raj Joshi worked for Rashtriya Haliya Mukti Samaj, Kanchanpur Nepal in his capacity as
a Project Coordinator from January 2015 to September 2017, for two years. He was working directly
under my supervision. Mr. Joshi was instrumental during the early years of the organization in
maintaining government compliances and also for implementation of the project.” Bridge Project” is
a multi-year project funded by ILO working to provide life-skill training to the freed Haliya community
of Kanchanpur and Bajura districts. He worked diligently during his entire time with us and played a
vital role in the beneficiary selection, trade selection, beneficiary group formation, and orientation
and managed external stakeholders including but not limited to Government line agencies.
Implementing partners and local government bodies.

During his tenure at Rashtriya Haliya Mukti Samaj, Kanchanpur, Nepal, Mr. Joshi demonstrated
excellent communicative, managerial skills. He prepared weekly updates and monthly narrative
reports. These reports were submitted timely and were of high quality. He effectively within the
project team and was able to take on tasks independently as well.

Personally, Mr. Joshi is a pleasure to talk to and is an excellent team player. He is a methodical
planner and scheduler of tasks. A keen learner and keeps updated in his field of expertise with
innovative ideas and improvisation. He is result-driven and logical. I have found him as s self-
motivated employer with a carrier objective to work in conflict-prone communities and disaster risk
management and resilience.

I would be delighted to recommend Mr. Padam for his future role and thank him for his lasting
