The Concerned person,

Myself B V Balarami reddy, an electronics engineer by background with keen interest

towards rural development. I hold a post-graduation diploma in Rural Development and
Management from the country's premier institute, National Institute of Rural
Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) in Hyderabad. Post higher studies, I worked
an year as a project associate in the department CGARD- a geo-informatics applications
center on a project called EPRIS (Empowering Panchayati Raj Institutions Spatially) in
the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The project aims for decentralized
planning through Bhuvan Maps, a virtual platform made in India. In this role, I gained a
lot of experience working at the grassroots level and travelling to the country's most
remote areas. I was able to comprehend various cultures, the functioning of various state
administrations, and the strategies for implementing development projects at the village
level. I was also responsible for analysing field study observations and preparing monthly
and quarterly reports. In addition as part of the monitoring team, I had assisted the local
government in developing plans for better implementation and bridging the gaps.

Later, worked as a Young Professional with the prestigious organization SERP-AP

(Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty, Andhra Pradesh) in the tribal mandals of East
Godavari district. I worked closely with farmers to mobilise them to form FPOs to help
with better revenue generation. Contributed my skills to channel marketing assistance
partners for the sale of the farmer's produce. By creating convergence across line
departments in providing Desi chicks and nutri-garden backyards for SHG women, I was
able to contribute to sources of livelihood through the sale of eggs and also give nutrition
support to Anganwadis through farm product deliveries. Done rigorous liaising to supply
the forest produce like honey, soap nuts, turmeric etc., with the help of GCC, and bamboo
to local furniture makers with the support of the forest department. One of the milestone
that I was able to successfully implement was the establishment of a mirchi market yard
for tribal farmers with the help of the Project Officer of ITDA (Integrative Tribal
Development Authority) to provide an easy platform to sell their main crop.

I served as a principal advisor for VNU, a youth-run organization focused on youth

empowerment and training them in understanding the instruments for effective
governance and policymaking through mock parliaments and facilitating interactive
sessions with renowned leaders and policy experts in the area. I freelanced with Sattva
consultancy in Bangalore as a consultant for their M&E projects of skill development
clients as a reporting and qualitative analyst to gain expertise in Monitoring and
Evaluation.
Currently working as a Policy and Development Associate with Swaniti Initiative on the
Andhra Pradesh Social Development Project, which aims to provide technical assistance
to the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj of the Government of

Andhra Pradesh in various schemes implemented by the department for effective

implementation and outreach to beneficiaries. I contribute my skills in primary and
secondary research, stakeholder management, sectorial discussions, policy analysis and
recommendations, field staff training, and reporting and documenting of the entire
process.

For this position, I believe that I am best suited in respect to qualifications and work
experience which the role demands. In my previous work experience with the central and
state governments, I had conducted a variety of field studies and was a catalyst for
administrative roles. I am well exposed to the local culture, scenarios of government
schemes and their implementation. I have extensive work experience from the grassroots
level of various states and substantial skillset to deal with the execution of state and
central programs and schemes.
I am inclined to the position and believe this role will empower me to improve my abilities
further and develop as an individual with a reputed organization.
