Sample answers:
1. What kinds of streets are popular in Vietnam?

- Well, there seems to be a tremendous variety of roads in my region such as Alley, Overhead
passing, Dual carriageway, and even overhead railway built up IN THE FOLLOWING YEARS.
As I'm concerned, two-lane expressway clearly GROWS IN POPULARITY in my country. An
explanation for this could be that you know, with the rapid development in the number of
vehicles, this type of street SHOULD BE CONSIDERED one of the most PRODUCTIVE
MEASURES to EASE TRAFFIC CONGESTION.

2. Is traffic jam a big problem in Vietnam?

- To be honest, traffic congestion is one of the most serious issues which bring about
DETRIMENTAL IMPACTS ON society. I guess, this is probably because a significant increase
in the number of private means of transport leads to TRAFFIC DELAYS especially in rush
hours, followed by air pollution. Consequently, citizens would BE VULNERABLE TO lung-
related diseases.

3. Why should people follow traffic rules?

- Well obviously, from my point of view, social members should obey traffic laws for several
reasons. To begin with, COMPLYING WITH TRAFFIC LEGISLATION can SET A
RESTRICTON ON traffic accidents, followed by a decline in DAMAGE TO PEOPLE'S LIVES
AND THEIR PROPERTY. And equally important, you know, traffic participants could avoid
traffic fines and punishment when they totally OBSERVE TRAFFIC RULES.

4. Are there any famous streets in Vietnam?

- Well actually, there are various well-known roads which are named after historical heroes of
my country such as Hoang hoa tham, Vu Trong Phung and so on. From my perspective, the
street that still prevails is two-lane expressway named Phan Dinh Phung. The first
characteristic of this PREVALENT STREET is that because of a series of trees and flowers
PLANTED IN A SYMETRICAL FORMATION along an urban roadside, atmospheric pollution is
limited, GENERATING CONDITIONS for CITY DWELLERS to IMPROVE HEALTH STATUS.
Additionally, the shape of trees provides advantages for commuters to BE FAR FROM
SCORCHING HOT WEATHER in the summer and enjoy fresh and clean environment.

5. Do you like big cities?

- Absolutely, I support living in a METROPOLITAN AREA for several motives. To begin with,
thanks to various recreational buildings in a capital, dwellers can EXPERIENCE THE
FEELING OF RELAXATION after an excessive level of work. Secondly, with the huge national
budget invested in medical and educational sectors in urban areas, people would have a great
opportunity to benefit a HIGH - RANKING EDUCATION SYSTEM. Last but not least, almost all
individuals could more accessible to JOB OPPORTUNITIES in MUNICIPALITY.

METROPOLITAN AREA : thủ đô

6. For old people, what do you think are the good points and bad of living in a city?

- Oh that's a good question! I personally think that there tend to be both advantages and
disadvantages of living in a big city for older generations. Positively speaking,u know, their
descendants who belong to young generations usually settle down in a metropolitan area to
study and work. Therefore, when elderly live in a big city EMBRACES CHANCES for family
reunion and enjoy cozy atmosphere, STRENGTHEN FAMILY BONDS. On the other hand, the
polluted environment in city life BRINGS ABOUT UNDESIRED INFLUENCES ON their
physical and mental health.
