The future of the internet.

Internet made a revolution in the living and working style of the mankind. It has
given access to unlimited knowledge database to everyone on the planet. It has
ability to provide information within no time at the doorstep. In general internet is
a huge network which is also often called a world wide web (WWW) connecting
various computers all over the world. Nowadays, internet has spread its effects at
every nook and corner of our planet. However, uncontrollable using of internet
may also possess certain threads to the modern society.
On one hand, internet provided us with numerous advantages in terms of scientific
research, education, and various other fields. For instance, on no account would we
be able to handle with learning during COVID pandemic if not for the internet.
Moreover, internet has become the catalyst for most mass media in the world,
being uncontrollable and free.
On the other hand, main internet’s disadvantage originates from one of its main
benefits. First of all, absolute freedom of world wide web is objectionable for
many totalitarian regimes. Internet has not only become an unlimited knowledge
database, but also a very important political resource and a network for
coordination of opposition in all countries. There already are attempts of restricting
internet and taking it under control by the government in non-democratic countries,
such as The Great Firewall of China or Yarovaya law in Russia. Secondly, tons of
either foolish or even dangerous extremist content can be found on the internet,
which also originates from its absolute freedom. However, it becomes a problem
only when it comes to children upbringing and, in my opinion, parents must
monitor children's online activities.
To sum up, the future of internet is bright and the trend of its using will continue
even in distant future, though we should not allow its restriction by the government
and control children’s access to the internet.
