On this activity, I choose Zaful, Gnarly Clothing, and Vans Off the Wall. Out of the
three websites that I chose to compare on both desktop screen and android device, I
think the most readable website on both devices is Gnarly Clothing. Clearly, because
they have effectively used the negative spaces to provide a natural look for the text, so
they have more exposure on the costumer’s eyes and also the font used on the website
were mostly serif which is used to guide the viewer’s eyes when reading. Moving on to
image presentation and color combination, the three websites were not that different
from each other. All websites were able to produce pleasing and strong colors, minimal
enough to give a satisfying atmosphere but not distracting when u look at items to buy.
All of them were mostly minimal except, Vans put a lot of images and gifs on their
homepage. Personally, I love the vibe Gnarly Clothing was giving me upon comparing
the three because I like the artworks illustrated on every page on their website. Also, I
think the color palette used corresponds to the website’s theme. For the last guide
question, I will have to choose Gnarly Clothing again, because all content within the
website effectively gave the brand’s concept, its them, and the vibe it wants to give on
their target customers. The color combination of black, white, and yellow, and the
concept art of dirty/dangerous monsters were able to give a promising outlook on the
brand. The text was clear and legible. Overall, Gnarly Clothing is a satisfactory website
for me. Also, based on my analysis accessing the websites on a computer device was a
lot easier to navigate and the graphic images were bigger because of higher resolution,
There weren’t much of a difference on the colors when comparing the websites on both
devices.
