A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE MA.

JOSEFINA G. BELMONTE, TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT WITH COCA-COLA BEVERAGES PHILIPPINES, INC. AND COCA-
COLA FOUNDATION PHILIPPINES, INC. FOR THE PROVISION AND
INSTALLATION OF TWO (2) HANDWASHING FACILITIES WITH ONE (1) YEAR
SUPPLY OF HAND SOAP AT DESIGNATED PUBLIC AREAS WITHIN QUEZON
CITY TO INSTITUTIONALIZE PROPER HANDWASHING AND HYGIENE
PRACTICES

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the local government of Quezon City to extend

partnership and cooperation with organizations and private entities in addressing
sanitation and health issues which affect its constituents;

WHEREAS, the Quezon City Government is committed to collaborate with

various stakeholders in its efforts to prevent, mitigate, and contain the spread of
COVID-19 within its territorial jurisdiction;

WHEREAS, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. and Coca-Cola Foundation

Philippines, Inc. seek to provide two (2) handwashing facilities with one year supply of
hand soap to be installed at public areas identified by the City Government to
institutionalize proper handwashing and hygiene practices;

WHEREAS, under the Memorandum of Agreement between the parties,

information, education, and communication (IEC) campaigns shall be conducted to
marketgoers, vendors, the traveling public, school children, and the public, in
coordination and collaboration with partners and stakeholders;

WHEREAS, the generosity of the officers and members of the Coca-Cola

Beverages Philippines, Inc. and Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. during this time
of COVID-19 pandemic is greatly appreciated by the Quezon City Government;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22 (c) and Section 455 (b) (1) (vi) of Republic Act
No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the City Mayor shall
represent the City in all its business transactions and sign in its behalf all bonds,
contracts, obligations, and such other documents upon the authority of the
Sangguniang Panlungsod or pursuant to law or ordinance.

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF QUEZON CITY IN

REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, to authorize, as it does hereby authorize, the City
Mayor, Honorable Ma. Josefina G. Belmonte, to enter into a Memorandum of
Agreement with Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. and Coca-Cola Foundation
Philippines, Inc. for the provision and installation of two (2) handwashing facilities with
one (1) year supply of hand soap at designated public areas within Quezon City to
institutionalize proper handwashing and hygiene practices.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the subject Memorandum of Agreement shall form

an integral part of this Resolution.
