Alikabok puts great value on basic education as reflected on
putting up of primary school in spite of small populace, named Al-
ikabok Elementary School. It is located in Brgy. Alikabok, Bayan,
Orani, Bataan.
The school began at primary school (Grade 1-Grade 4) in
the year 1995 with two teachers namely; Mrs Gloria M. Buensuce-
so and Mrs. Marites Garcia. The school became a complete learn-
ing institution in 1998 during the time of Teacher-in-Charge and
Grade 6 teacher Mr. Alfred De Leon. Some of the pioneer teachers
were Mrs. Perseveranda Guinto and Mr. Leo Guinto. Additional
classrooms were constructed during that time.
At present, there are additional two-storey-four classrooms
used by Grades 1 and 2. The school auditorium was utilized for
two makeshift rooms for Grade 3.
Mrs. Hilda D. Sayson is the current school head and there
were 15 teachers and 463 school children enrolled for the school
year 2019-2020.
1.1 Attendance , Tardiness and Absences
1.1.1 Attendance

Punctual and perpetual attendance in all classes, activities and pro-


grams are required of all pupils.

1.1.2 School Days & Class Hours

Classes are held Mondays through Fridays, in accordance with the


following schedules for the different curriculum grades:

Kindergarten 7:30 A.M. -10:30 A.M., and


12:30 NOON – 3:30P.M.

Grades I, II and III7:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M., and


1:00 P.M. - 3:30 P.M.
Grades IV, V and VI 7:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M., and
1:00 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.

1.1.3 Absences & Tardiness


The school should be promptly informed if the pupil/student is sick
and/or unable to attend classes.
Daily class attendance is taken for all pupils. Those who do not have
excuse letters, or who are habitually tardy, may be subjected to school dis-
cipline.
1.1.4 Cancellation of Classes & Specific Procedures

1.1.4.1 Suspension of Classes


Basically, there are two conditions where announcement of can-
cellation of classes is given:

Automatic Suspension of Classes

Kindergarten classes are automatically suspended when typhoon


signal no. 1 is raised by PAG-ASA.
Classes in the elementary school are automatically suspended
when typhoon signal number 2 is raised by PAG-ASA.

Localized Suspension of Classes

The City Mayor of Hermosa or the Provincial Governor of Bataan


or DepEd Bataan may announce the suspension of classes if there are
threats to public health and safety such as heavy rains, earthquakes, floods
and other circumstances.

1.1.4.2 Specific Procedures


a. Dismissal
In cases where suspension of classes are announced when the pu-
pils are already in the school attending classes, pupils will not be allowed
to leave the school immediately for the purposes of security and safety.
Parents are advised to pick up their children as soon as they hear the an-
nouncement. If it is not possible to fetch their children immediately, Par-
ents should inform the Office of the Principal as soon as possible for
proper coordination. Pupils without companion will only be allowed to
leave the School at 11:30 o’clock noon.
2.1 REQUIREMENTS ON SCHOOL

2.1.1 On School and in the Classroom

Wearing of ID inside the school premises.


Observed properly groomed, neat and tidy.
Observe punctuality at all times, thus arrived in school 10 minutes
before the time.
Shows respect to all teaching and non-teaching personnel.
When the bell rings he/she quietly proceeds to the designated area
of their class and maintains good behavior throughout the flag
ceremony.
Walk silently along the path walk to avoid destruction of classes.
Listens actively during class discussion.
Actively participate in recitation, group work, seat work and other
activities.
Raises hands properly.
Avoid whispering to his seatmates and laugh’s at other’s mistakes.
Observe cleanliness and orderliness at all times.
Practice proper waste disposal.
Avoid eating when classes are going on.
Ask the permission of the teachers if leaving the room.
Show respect to your classmates.
Respecting each person's private property
Agreeing to the school's regulations regarding cellphone.
Avoiding verbal or physical confrontation with another pupil
Not bringing our school's name into disrepute
Agreement and acceptance of all School rules and regulations
Keeping school buildings and facilities undamaged
Used school facilities properly.

2.1.2 About Personal Belongings

Every pupil is advised to take care of his personal belongings such as


books, bag, money, jewelries,, etc. The school is not responsible for any loss
that may occur within the school.
Report immediately, the loss of anything to the Principal's Office.

2.2 IDENTIFICATION CARD


Identification card is secured from the office and free to all students.
Upon entry and while inside the school, student ID is required to be
worn inside the school by all currently enroled pupils. The ID card is to be
worn slung over the neck and is required when borrowing books from the Li-
brary.

2.3 UNIFORM
The wearing of uniform shall not be required. Pupils with existing uni-
forms may continue if they so desire, in order to avoid incurring additional
costs for new attire.

3.1 REQUIRED & OTHER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES


3.1.1 Sports & Scouting
The following are some of the co-curricular activities to enhance the
skills and talents of the pupils.

Sports Activities

The yearly school sportsfest and weekends training is an important component


of the physical education. It is designed to encourage pupils to participate in
several group sports such as futsal, sepak takraw, basketball and volleyball to
provide students with opportunities to apply their disciplines and promote
physical, mental, social, and emotional health and wellness

3.1.1 Sports & Scouting
The following are some of the co-curricular activities to enhance
the skills and talents of the pupils.

Sports Activities

The yearly school sportsfest and weekends training is an important


component of the physical education. It is designed to encourage pupils to
participate in several group sports such as futsal, sepak takraw, basketball
and volleyball to provide students with opportunities to apply their disci-
plines and promote physical, mental, social, and emotional health and well-
ness.

Scouting

Pupils are encouraged to join the scouting movement such as


Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Kab Scouts, Service Scouts and Twinklers.

3.2 PUPIL ORGANIZATIONS


The current duly recognized pupil organizations are related to
different curricular areas which provide the pupils with enriching learn-
ing experiences. Every approved pupil organization will be assigned
one adviser, whose presence will be required at all general meetings and
activities involving the entire membership. The co-curriculum organiza-
tions and activities include the following:

GUIDANCE SERVICES
Guidance counsellor is available upon request by a student, teacher,
principal, or parent to discuss issues important to student adjustment
and achievement. Thus, only assigned teachers serve as guidance
counselor to help the pupils cope up with their problems.
FREE TUTORIAL or REMEDIAL TEACHING
When a student experiences some difficulties in academ-
ic or some learning areas, the teachers are very willing to conduct a
tutorial services between 3:30-5:00 pm for free. The teachers will
ask the consent of the parents and conduct a meeting of agreement if
they are willing to send their children for remedial teaching in the
afternoon. The purpose of the meetings is to develop recommenda-
tions that will address the difficulties and design intervention strate-
gies which are a cooperative effort between the school and
home. The goal is to help every student succeed in school.
