Pakistan is developing country which is going through a lot of social issues like corruption, power

crises, education, law & justice, poverty, inflation, security, futile traditions, agriculture, pollution,
crimes, employment etc. Solving these issues by an individual will be costly, so it’s the responsibility
of government to solve it. These issues were also discussed in the English newspapers Pakistan
because newspapers play an important role for the development of any society. In order to get
people attention newspapers publish only those news which can give benefits to their organization.
As per organizational agendas more than 75% of potential news are not been published mostly.
Without any modification information are flowing through media.

As electronic media cannot be afforded by everyone, though newspapers conveys necessary

knowledge to people in lesser time easily. Likes and dislikes of people are also kept in mind of
editors while publishing. Making of useful links between literature and cultural studies, literature
and political economy and literature and psychology are been tried by literary thinkers. In this
advanced period newspapers still have their importance because it facilitates us with the latest news
on time. It includes many information regarding anything like announcements, flights and trains and
prayers timings etc.

The Editorials are soul of newspaper and conscious of economy which represents bias and political
ideology and shows us breaking down issues. Importance of social issues cannot be ignored, A
Russian sociologist, Peterlovov stated that the starting point of sociology was man, who advances
together with the explanation of society. Editors are aware about the performance of their articles.
To grasp more attention of public they plan well for their future articles. Media can educate
positively or can mislead the people. Most underprivileged classes of society gets least education.

The published articles in newspaper are placed in a proper manner, which depends upon the
number of news and their importance. The editorials presented the image of the editors of the
newspaper but now the range of editorials is far reaching. The published articles depict the policy of
that organization towards a specific issue. Model and essential professional journalistic ethics across
all media are provided by newspaper. Major newspapers helps a lot to investigate questions for
research concerning media contents. These organizations also played a feedback role.

Social issues are part of every society. Association for Social Studies Education Research (ASSER) and
Journal for Social Studies Education Research (JSSER) focus on the social issues such as poverty,
citizenship, social and economic equality and justice. Extreme poverty is an important issue in
developing world. We can get together in order to control the social issues. Also it is the
responsibility of Social studies educators to educate and advocate people. It is witnessed through
media that a small group of people pays efforts to weaken our bonds of brotherhood by using our
ethical and regional differences. Therefore, we should educate our citizens.
