this core values as a Filipino citizen.

Makaiyos, makatao, makakalikasan and makabansa is our core values because it represent us
being a Filipino. Being makadiyos is having faith in the Almighty. We, Filipino are very
spiritual. We rely in Him if we have problem and no one to lean on. We draw our strengths from
our faith. Our spirituality makes us invoke divine presence or intervention at every bend of our
journey. Makatao focuses on truth, justice, freedom, love, equality and peace. Makatao as a core
value simply means being sensitive and respectful to individual, social, and cultural differences.
Makakalikasan involves in the conservation and development of our patrimony. This trait shows
the love and care of someone for the environment. Those who are makakalikasan preserves and
takes good care of the surroundings and they often help in maintaining the cleanliness of the
nature and they also take care of our Mother Earth. Makabansa includes respect for law, the
government and its instruments, patriotism, promotion of the common good and building a just
and humane society. It shows the love for the country and its countrymen. It is protecting the
country by following rules and regulation, and being a role model to other citizens.
