The ZR/ZT series of Oil free screw air compressor is the most advanced oil free screw compressor

The ZR/ZT oil-free screw compressor is a plant air compressor, for various air applications in
Pharmaceutical, Textile, Power, Electronics, Food, Chemical, Refinery & petrochemical industry.
Machines are designed with the DNA of a continuous duty Class 0 air quality and come with a
guarantee for a continuous, cost-efficient and highly reliable air supply.

efficient screw compressors with very low energy consumption for a given similar size of
other equipments.

inventory cost is low.
Highest Reliability – The Z series compressors have a proven reliability in the field.
With more than 3500 installations in India from over past 3 decades in different location

installations these Z series compressors are operating continuously without a standby

especially of applications that require oil free air. We have set the standard for air purity as
first manufacturer to be certified ISO 8573-1 Class 0.
• Proven Z technology: World class oil free screw element ensures highest reliability and
gives high overall efficiency. Unique Z seal technology guarantees 100% oil free air.
Operation of elements rotors is far below critical speeds. High overall efficiency of the
element is achieved through superior rotor coating and efficient element jacket cooling.
Superior element bearing design ensures high stability under varying load conditions. There
is no need for pre-lubrication or stabilization time.
• High Precision Drive System : Oil free screw compressor uses reliable helical gear drive
system. Gears are AGMA Q 13 / Din class 5 quality gives longer life time, low transmission
losses, very low noise and vibrations. Interchangeability at site.

• Cooling System Designed for Life: Water cooled compressor consists of high efficiency
shell & tube type inter cooler and after cooler. Coolers are with corrosion resistant stainless
steel tubing. Highly reliable robot welding ensures no risks for leaks. Aluminum star insert
increases heat transfer. Cooling water outside tube guided by baffles ensure no dead zones,
efficient cooling, longer service time and easy cleaning.
Air cooled compressor uses reliable efficient aluminum block coolers with radial fan which
ensures efficient cooling with low noise and vibrations.
• Pressure lubrication system: Gear type pump driven by main drive shaft. Oil filter- spin-
on type –easy for replacement. Oil level gauge. Integral oil sump to gearbox. All service
points are easily accessible.
• High Efficiency Oil cooler: We use plate type heat exchanger – Make Alfa Laval this
ensures efficient cooling. Design is maintenance free and material used is superior stainless
steel.
• High efficiency water separators with Electronic Water Drains and high level alarm. This
ensures only condensate to drain out without any air loss.
• Piping within skid: Most of the interconnecting air, water, and oil pipes are internally cast.
This ensures negligible internal losses. This also prevents any chance leakages within the
system.

• Coupling: Flexible rubber element drive coupling ensures no tensional stresses. No re-
greasing is required for the coupling.
• Low Investment & Installation cost : Complete scope, there are no hidden cost like
other installations. Integral base-frame for compressor and drive assembly with no need for
foundation. Full acoustical sound attenuating enclosure. All components are pre installed and
electricals are pre wired.

• Full Feature Machines: We offer integrated HOC type air dryer as a option. Integrated air
dryer IMD is patented design of Atlas Copco which gives higher dew point (-) 30 Deg.C
quality air. Integrated, zero purge loss, IMD 300 Heat of Compression dryer, No external
energy required for drying process. All interconnecting piping within the same skid gives
smaller foot print, low pressure drops and no leakages. This adds to huge savings to
customer.

1.3 Inlet silencer and dry-air intake filter. Paper type filter with high filtration efficiency SAE
3 micron up to 99.9%
1.4 Flexible connection between intake filter and the full load/no load regulating system
An air-actuated inlet throttle valve unloads the compressor when the max. setting of the
working pressure is reached. It loads the compressor again when the min. setting of the
working pressure is reached.
When running unloaded, a min. amount of air is still being compressed and blown off through
a blow-off valve and silencer.
After an adjustable time, the compressor will automatically stop in order to save energy.
The unit will re-start automatically before the net pressure will drop below its minimum pre-
set level.
1.6 A low pressure compressor element, compressing the air up to inter-stage pressure.

1.8.1 ZR 300-750 have a common shell for inter- and after-cooler tube bundles.6
A star profile inside the tubes gives an improved heat transfer. Air through tubes, water
around tubes.

2 Oil circuit
2.2 Oil circuit with lubrication nozzles and piping fully integrated in the gearbox, consists of
- a Gerotor pump
- a fine spin off type filter
- an oil pressure regulating valve
- an oil level indication (sight-glass) and drain
2.3 Oil-cooler
ZR's: Water-cooled oil cooler of the plate heat exchanger type with water and oil
connections integrated in the gearbox.
2.4 Gearbox breathing system which eliminates oil fumes coming out of the gearbox.
It avoids contamination of compressor or the environment.
3 Water circuit
3.1 The cooling water circuit is internally in the machine split into two circuits.
One circuit is meandering around alternatively, in the after- and the intercooler.
The other one flows through oil cooler, the high pressure and the low pressure compressor
element.
3.2 Compressor cooling water inlet and outlet connections are vibration absorbing rubber
bellows.
3.3 For easy cooler cleaning flushing in- and out connections are provided on the cooler shell.
Counter flow flushing can be carried out without disconnecting main water in- and outlet
4 Base frame
One common base frame for compressor and motor, with forklift slots for easy lifting and
vibration-absorbing rubber buffers between flanged compressor-motor assembly and the base
frame itself (arr. E).
For mounting a feet motor (arr. 1), extra beams are bolted to the gearbox to ensure a stiff
motor mounting.
Feet-motors are to be bolted on a sub-frame that in its turn should be welded to these extra
beams.
5 Compressor-motor coupling
The compressor is coupled to the flanged motor by a flexible rubber stud type coupling.

6 Silencing hood
A metal-paneled silencing hood with fire-resistant and self-extinguishing noise-insulating
foam and lockable doors is mounted on the base frame and has only in the roof inlet and
outlet gratings for ventilation. The latter ensures easy access to the unit in case of cooling air
ducting.
Compressors driven by high voltage motors are delivered with an extended canopy.
7 Electrical equipment
The electrical equipment consists of:
7.1 A totally enclosed squirrel-cage induction drive motor, flanged mounted with support

The Elektronikon® MkIV regulating system provides energy efficient load/no load control. The
on-board micro-processor automatically regulates, controls and monitors the compressor
operation based on input from pressure and temperature transducers.

The Elektronikon has the capability to pre-programme two separate operating pressure bands
to accommodate differing shift requirements.
Standard commercial protocols are optionally available to connect the Elektronikon to plant
wide local network as well as the world wide web.
The Elektronikon has built in capability for multiple compressor control (optional). This results
in a drastic reduction in overall system working pressure as well as improvement in system
pressure stability. This can lead to energy savings to almost 10% per year due to lower energy
requirements at reduced pressures as well as lower amount of air lost to leakages.

Shipment can be arranged in about 24-26 weeks after receipt of your clear
order and copy of letter of credit whichever is later.
Prices:
Actual users import license (if required) for import of the item/spares offered
to you will have to be arranged by you.
Payment:
Against 100% irrevocable & confirmed letter of credit to be opened by you in
favour of our principals Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. Boomsesteenweg 957, B-
2610 Wilrijk, Belgium. This L/C should permit 100% payment on presentation of
documents through a scheduled bank. The L/C should permit part shipment and
transshipment and
We also request you to kindly send the draft of L/C for approval so prior to
the establishment of L/C.
Validity:
The offer is valid for a period of two months, and subject to written
reconfirmation by us after the period is over.

Purchase Order:
Order should be sent to Atlas Copco, Dapodi Pune 411 012 for further
processing. Orders sent directly to Atlas Copco Company abroad who is supplying
parts, may not be processed.
