1) FUNCTION OF LIGHTENING PORT:

They replaced the 30-pin dock connector. Apple.inc introduced them. It’s a kind of a computer
bus use to connect apple mobile devices to host computers, external circuitry, cameras, USB
battery charger and other peripheral. It uses 8 pin instead of 30 pins. Carries digital signals.
2) HEADPHONE PORT:

Headphone port is the port or the jacks where headphones plugs are inserted to receive audio
signals. They are electrical connectors usually used for analog signals also called audio jack.

3) MICRO USB PORT:

It’s the type of the USB connectors, which can be found in phones and other mobile devices to
connect those devices to charger, computers, televisions, cars etc.

SELF SERVICE KIOSK:

It’s a with the touch screen to attract the users.

 Financial kiosk:
Used in paying bills, helps to add money to pre-paid card and helps in other
financial activities.
 Photo kiosk:
Prints photos from digital images, and also allows editing of digital photos.
 Ticket kiosk:
Helps in printing tickets in airports, parks etc.
 Vending kiosk:
Dispense item after payment has been received.
 Visitor kiosk:
Helps to manage and track the visitors in check-in. used in school, offices where
entrance is controlled or registration is required.

SERVER FOR EMAIL:

SMTP and MTA’S helps to exchange messages such as sending mails. Messages are also stored
on the server for the user to access and download and stored in the email client for offline usage.

The SMTP is used to send and receive email, messages over the internet. When a message is sent
the email client sends the message to SMPT server. Once the IP address I resolved, the SMPT
servers connects with the remote SMPT server and the mail is delivered to this server for
handling.

Bluetooth is an short range wireless technology used for exchanging data mobile devices over
short distance using UHF radio waves. Bluetooth physical range is typically less than 10 meters
up to 100 meters and speed of the Bluetooth is 3 mbps.

SAN is dedicated network that provides access to data storage. SANS are widely use for
enhancing the storage devices

Optical jukeboxes, disk arrays tape libraries can use SAN.

A system bus is a single bus connects major components of computer system combines the
function of a data bus to carry information.

SCANNER:

Cloud storage involves atleast 1 data server that a user connects to via internet. The user sends
files which forward information to multiple servers.
