Object: To determine the coefficient of viscosity of 6 different spheres.

Apparatus: Micrometer, scale, cylinder, 6 different spheres, and oil.

Procedure:

1- Take the mass of the cup.

2- Take the mass of the cup containing the 200mL of oil.
3- Take the mass of each sphere.

η= ׿
9 v

x=30 ×10−2 m

Results:

N Weight in kg radius in m density in kg /m3 velocity in m/s

1 0.846×10−3 2.685×10−3 10430 1.67×10−2
2 0.512×10−3 4.69×10−3 1185 0.044×10−2
3 0.511×10−3 5.09×10−3 925.08 0.05×10−2
4 0.511×10−3 5.14×10−3 898.34 0.045×10−2
5 0.509×10−3 5.15×10−3 889.626 0.0475×10−2
6 0.842×10−3 3.21×10−3 6077.27 0.67×10−2

Discussion:

η1=0.095 ,η 2=0.517 , η3=0.242 , η4 =0.240 , η5=0.217 ,η 6=0.18
