Procedure
Calculations:
C standard=100mg /δL
0
[ glucoseaquadest ]= 2.590 x 100 x 10
[ glucoseaquadest ]=0.00 mg/δL
2.590
[ glucosestandard ]= 2.590 x 100 x 10
[ glucosestandard ]=1000.00 mg/δL
0.173
[ glucosesample ]= 2.590 x 100 x 10
[ glucosesample ]=66.80 mg/δL
In this experiment, we conducted a quantitative analysis to calculate the
concentration of blood glucose using the spectrophotometer (Hussain and Sadozai
2012). From the observation, it was found that the Ameasured for aquadest,
Cstandard, Csample are 0.103Au, 2.693Au and 0.276Au respectively. Using the
aquadest as a guideline, we measured the A corrected for them which are 0.000Au,
2.590Au and 0.173Au respectively. With this, we could find the concentration of
blood glucose which are 0.00mg/δL, 1000.00mg/δL and 66.80mg/δL respectively.
When compared to literature, the blood glucose concentration in the sample is
slightly higher than the normal level for cow which is 55-65mg/δL (Cozzi et al.
2011).
