Watch the video provided in SCL 5 on ‘Death Penalty Should be Abolished’. Answer the
questions below.

1. What is the language cue used by the speaker to signal the end of the presentation?
She concluded the presentation by saying “in conclusion”.

2. How did the presenter conclude the presentation?

She summarized the central idea and main points and also made a dramatic statement.

3. How can the speaker improve on the closure of her presentation?

She can add a memorable quotation which has relevance to the topic.
