The document discusses operational amplifiers (op amps). It describes the basic terminals of op amps including the power supply terminals P+ and P- and the differential input terminals V+ and V-. It then explains how op amps can be used as comparators, inverting amplifiers, non-inverting amplifiers, and summing amplifiers by manipulating the feedback around the op amp. Circuit diagrams are provided to illustrate each configuration.

P+, P- : (“The Rails”) Power supply of the op amp.
Usually balanced: ±15v, ±12v, ±5v, etc.
V+, V- : Differential sense inputs.
These pins absorb extremely low current. For ideal op amps, 𝑍𝑖𝑛 ⇒ ∞.
𝑉𝑜 is the amplifier output.
