This document serves the purpose of explaining further steps that are required in order to fit
into the standard of a Futura Kid teacher. I will point out some key details and provide useful
advice to make this transition period easier for you. Please read carefully.
STEP 1 - You have the next 48 hours to complete the list of required documents so that the
member of the Recruitment team can finish your profile. Please do this as quickly as possible,
since the amount of time it takes to activate the account can affect your probation period in the
future.
STEP 2 - After finishing the HR process you will have a Computer and Platform check. Please
read and follow the PC Specs Check document closely, and read through the Orientation
document after the Platform check, please report back to me as soon as you have passed the
Computer or Platform check via Skype.
STEP 3 - You will forward an Introduction video to your Trainer for approval. It should be about
30 seconds long, and you will use the name you choose in agreement with CS/Trainer.
Guidelines for a good introduction video are in the paragraph below - my advice is to make an
effort with it and stand out in relation to others because the parents will choose your class
based on it. Please highlight all your good qualities and techniques as an amazing teacher.
When you finish recording the introduction video, please think about inserting some interesting
effects, quiet background music for which you can use the InShot and Meitu applications. When
I approve your introduction video, I will send it to the administration. Another thing that you

are obliged to send to me is called Remarks where you need to describe yourself in a few
sentences as a lecturer, which techniques you use with younger and older children, what you
insist on in classes, how you like to make the classes interesting etc. Please write it all in the
third person singular and in English.
When recording the videos if you are taking pictures by phone please turn OFF the LOCATION
on the phone when taking pictures and do NOT take pictures with the front selfie camera.
STEP 4 – Prepare for the lessons as much as possible by reviewing all of the materials needed
for the first few weeks (Hello Beda, Starter and Basic) since situations can occur where the
material is not uploaded before the class and you need to assess the student’s level and choose
a lesson for them (from the Add files>Public files section). Please provide some additional
materials as well – you can add your own or use some from here:

STEP 5 - Please do not hesitate to ask me (or on Drake Reviews Skype group) as many questions
as needed before you start your classes, and in the beginning especially (the first 2 weeks). This
is the best time to make adjustments to your teaching skills and the time where some mistakes
are not considered as severe as later on.
Book your additional INDIVIDUAL platform practice after the mock class (this practice is just for
you to check all the options again by yourself), but do it before Platform TRAINING (profiling will
book it for you to have a platform training with our trainer Nina). Please write your name in the
schedule and follow the steps.
STEP 7 - Please make sure you can start within 7-10 days following the Mock class, unless you
have justified reasons not to (but it may affect your probation period).
Prepare and delight the student in that class, use a lot of props, additional materials, make sure
that your class is not monotonous and that you do not just stick to the lesson material, but
expand the topic with various additional materials (my recommendation is to insert funny GIFs
related to the lesson and prompt the student to make a sentence using the given word). Make
sure you constantly encourage the student to use FULL SENTENCES, correct the pronunciation
by emphasizing the correct word or sound, and give the student a chance to repeat it. Set the
speaking speed according to the student’s level, use TPR, be energetic and enjoy the class. Stick
to the lesson pacing sent to you after the training. If the student is late, report it after 2 min on
the ``?`` option in the classroom, then sit and wait until they come, don't turn off the camera
and don’t speak in any language other . Good Luck!

- if you have any questions regarding classes, materials;
- if you must take vacation during the probation period, it is mandatory to inform your
trainer
- for sudden cancellation (sudden cancellation - every leave must be taken 1 day in
advance, until 23:59PM Serbian Time, so as not to be considered Sudden Leave (subject
to deductions) by the platform) you must contact/call Customer Support and state the
reason for canceling the classes BUT you also have to cancel your classes on the
platform by yourselves (unless you are unable to do it due to some technical reasons).
Please read the document "How to request leave on the BedaKid platform" on the
platform under the Document tab
- for sudden cancellation - If you work from home, and you lose electricity and/or
internet, you are late for class for some reason, you cannot enter the classroom due to
technical reasons – contact/call Customer Support and explain the reason for the delay.
You can call:
- if you are not sure how to take a day off on the platform, or for all questions about
taking days off on the platform
- if you are not sure how to use some options on the platform
- if you are not sure how to write a comment when you do not show up for class
- if you are not sure how to write a comment for a class you took from a colleague
- when you need help to find a teacher or CT, do not write in the Beida group

- for any possible irregularities regarding your pay slip;
- if your referral has passed their probation period
- if there are any irregularities regarding the number of your days off/sick leaves on the
platform but please first read the document Salary and Benefits on the platform under
the Document tab
- if you want to open some additional slots (all slots you open become fixed, you cannot
close them anymore)
- if you enter the classroom and there is an adult student just explain to the student in a
polite way that you work with kids and finish the class. If the student has any questions
regarding the school or the course curriculum tell them to ask CTs or the sales
department. When you experience this report it to TA`s and your trainer with a Class ID
and Student ID.
- for reporting mistakes in the lesson material; please write the name of the lesson and
attach the screenshot
- if the lesson in the classroom is different from the one suggested on the platform
(schedule,), report via the “?” option and contact the CT. If no one helps you by
uploading the right unit, please continue with the class flow for the given unit type or
level (unless there is special demand on the teacher's platform).
- if a CT does not respond to your messages for a couple of days, or you can’t
understand what a CT wants to say, you can contact one of four CT managers: CT Rick,
CT Molly, CT Lancy, or CT Yan.
- for inappropriate behavior of the students (middle fingers, buttock crack, etc). Check
the ID of the class and the name of the student, report to your trainer and CT
immediately.
- if you have any problems with the equipment you use during classes please first
contact them via Skype and if you don’t get the help in time call one of the IT guys.

INFO 1 – Do not forget to submit comments before 6 AM (Serbian time) – 12 PM (noon) BJT
the following day, otherwise these lessons will not be paid for.
INFO 2 – I will provide the recommended lesson pacing guide once more. Please print this list
and keep it close to you during the first few weeks. Its purpose is to protect all of the teachers
in the company and make sure we all do the right amount of work in a certain material.

INFO 4 - Please be kindly reminded to check your Skype messages every working day, especially
on your first working day in the week. CTs, TAs (or other colleagues) may have sent you a time
sensitive message, and it is MANDATORY to answer them.
INFO 5 - Please be kindly reminded that students can book your classes up to 30 minutes
before your class (e.g - my free 18:00 BJT class can be booked at 17:30 BJT the latest), so please
make sure to refresh your Teacher's Platform and schedules 29 minutes before your free slot
(that has not been booked yet) to make sure you are not late for your class (deductions may
apply, Salary&Benefits document).
INFO 6 - Please be kindly reminded to make 100% sure to mark the page number as soon as
your class is over (e.g. Your class starts at 18:00 BJT, you need to mark the page number at
18:25 BJT). You cannot mark the page number by clicking enter on your keyboard, you MUST
CLICK THE SUBMIT BUTTON TO MARK THE PAGE NUMBER.

Mark the LAST PAGE you finished with the student, NOT the following page intended for the
next teacher.
INFO 8 - Pacing for Peppa Pig materials - 3 or 4 classes per unit, depending on the student’s
abilities. Please pace the lesson by dividing the total number of pages by 3(or 4).

' If you took several sick days in a row you will need to upload the document for each day you
were sick. '
- You can upload the same document for different days ONLY if it clearly covers the date of the
sick leave it was uploaded for.
Documents the company accepts are:
Doctor’s proof (with stamp)
Parents can also submit proof for their kids
*Please upload the document on the platform, do not send it to Administration on Skype
INFO 12 - If a student/parent asks the teacher to open more slots for them during the class, and
the teacher is willing to do so, just reply directly:
‘ I will ask the TA to expand my schedule on the platform right after the class. Please be careful
and check my schedule since the slot might be booked by other parents. '
Once you finish the class, ask the TA to expand your schedule directly with the slots you are
willing to open in BJT, DO NOT tell the students/parents to ask the CT for additional slots.
INFO 13 - MY LESSON MATERIAL WAS CHANGED AND I CAN’T MARK THE RIGHT PAGE AND
MATERIAL - what to do?
The new update states you can mark the class as a NO SHOW if you can't mark the correct
material and page number. (approved by TA)
- When you report the student is late/left the classroom, the platform sends a notification (to
the student/their parent) that they are missing in class. In other words, you don't need the tech
assistant to join you in the classroom and wait with you or to call them for you. The platform
does that on its own.
- If the student's video/audio/ is choppy or frozen - it means the student has network issues
and there's nothing the tech team can do about that except ask the student to refresh their
router or get closer to it, which YOU can do too, while you wait for the assistance.
- If you hear echo, ask the student to turn their volume down or wear a headset, that does the
trick 100%

- Material not uploaded - you can chose one from the public files in the classroom. If you want
a specific one - open the 'Books' section on the platform and screenshot the lesson material and
upload it in the classroom. Write that in the comment after class.
While you wait for the assistants, you can try to find a solution so you don't waste your time in
class.
