According to the result, most of the students seemed to agree on statements regarding different
perceptions to limited face-to-face classes.
Perception regarding necessary health protocols, students agreed that limited face-to-face classes will
pose significant health risks that will defer them from learning properly. Items number 1,3, and 5 are
pessimistic statements related to health concerns, to which students responded “Agree”, which this
study finds that the students are not confident towards the capability of the school to maintain health
protocols
Perception regarding academic performance, students agreed that limited face-to-face classes will
improve their academic performance than online classes. Items number 2, 4, 6, 7, and 10 are optimistic
statements related to perceived effect of limited face-to-face classes, to which students responded
“Agree”, which this study finds that the students have progressive view upon the limited face -to-face.
Note that most of the students agreed to the statements as the same are compared to online classes.
Perception regarding financial capability, students agreed that limited face-to-face classes are more
expensive in the students’ disposition. The findings showed the students’ responded “Agree” to item
number 9 which is the statement pertaining to the financial capability of the student to participate in
limited face-to-face classes.
In summary, the findings showed students perceived limited face-to-face classes as better mode
of learning than online classes to improve their academic performance. In contrast, as it is beneficial in
academic aspect, health risks and economic status creates conflict of interest between themselves as
this pandemic affects every aspect of living including each livelihood of their families and the anxiety
posted by the COVID 19 disease.
