Topic 5 Internship Reflection 2
During the session with my Faculty Advisor, we mentioned that I do not have any
artifacts on my E-Portfolio under the Community tab. Dr. Holloway and I sat down and
discussed several instances to where I was a part of a community function, but was not aware of
the significance of my role. This was a great opportunity for me to realize how important it is to
sit down and reflect over the things I participate in on a daily basis. Before beginning my
internship, I would be present at many events because students would ask me to do so. Because
Dr. Holloway and I have been spending so much time together, I attended the events with him as
an administrator, but did not think to include the event for credit towards the standards I had to

that I would normally not have a chance to meet. I am new to the community; however, this
opportunity has me eager to be able to be a part of events outside of school. The ELCC

the secondary levels. I was able to see the complicated things such as turning a student around
because they had not met the graduation requirements. I also got to see the joyful things such as
a student being the first in their family to graduate high school. My principal mentor is over the
guidance counselors, so I was able to be a part of the grind of posting grades, transcript audits,
