Welcome to “CAM for Managing Anxiety”! This is a three-week online series designed

to teach you alternative methods for assisting in managing symptoms of anxiety. This syllabus

will be your roadmap for the upcoming weeks as we delve into diverse practices including

meditation, yoga, and acupuncture. I look forward to our time together!

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this series, participants will be able to:

1. Distinguish between different CAM practices

2. Understand the science behind CAM practices

3. Independently complete meditations and beginners yoga to be applied into daily routines.

B. Technology Requirements:

● Computer, Laptop, or Smart Device with Audio and Visual capabilities

● Internet connection

● Email Address (to access Zoom Meeting Platform Invites)


C. Instructional Strategies:

CAM for Anxiety is participant-centered and focuses on collaborative learning, with the

instructor acting as a facilitator. While the instructor acts as a guide, there will be opportunities

for student involvement as well as time dedicated to interactive experiences.

15 minute Yoga for Beginners video

History and Intro to Accupuncture

Accupuncture Applied to Anxiety (the research)

5 minute break

Virtual Q and A with an acupuncturist
