Foreword

This engineering manual is prepared by KMC Oiltools as a source of


information and data for drilling fluids personnel at all levels.

It is intended to provide guidance on our fluid systems and the theory


behind them.

Drilling fluid technology is a dynamic process and revisions to this handbook


will be made as new developments occur.

While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy in the contents of
this manual we recognise that errors and inaccuracies may occur.

We also recognise that many people will have ideas to improve both the
content and format for future editions
