CONSTRUCTION REGULATIONS, 2014

REGULATION 29: A contractor must, in addition to compliance with the Environmental Regulations for
Workplaces, 1987, ensure that -

(k) the means of escape is kept clear at all times;

(l) there is an effective evacuation plan providing for all –

(i) persons to be evacuated speedily without panic;

(ii) persons to be accounted for; and
(iii) plant and processes to be shut down; and

(m) a siren is installed and sounded in the event of a fire.
