SUBJECT: ROTOR FLIGHT CONTROL -- Tail rotor controls / YAW SEMA

Replacement of heat-shrinkable sleeve with cable ties

Revision No. Date of issue

Revision 0 2016-03-17

Summary:

During an inspection, corrosion was detected on the control rod of the YAW SEMA (Smart Electro-
Mechanical Actuator). The corrosion was caused by water accumulation under the heat-shrinkable
sleeve. With this Service Bulletin (SB) the heat-shrinkable sleeve will be removed and replaced by
three cable ties. With accomplishment of SB MBB-BK117 C-2-67-019, the ASB MBB-BK117
C-2-67A-015 becomes ineffective.

Compliance:

Compliance with this SB is recommended.
