Laamiyyah Attributed to

Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)

ِ ‫اله َدي م ْن لِل ِْه َد‬

‫ايث َي ْسأ َ ُل‬ ُ ‫ُر ِس َق‬ ‫يد ِحي‬
َ ‫ائ ِِل َع ْن َم ْذ َه ِبي و َع ِق‬
ِ ‫َيا َس‬
َ
Certainly, bestowed with guidance is he who asks for O one who asks about my doctrine and creed
guidance

َّ ‫ََل َينْـث َِني َعنْـ ُه َوَل َيخ َ َب‬

‫ـد ُل‬ ‫حقِّ ٍق يف قَـىلـِ ِه‬
َ ‫اسم ْع كَال َم ُم‬
َ
Without departing from it nor replacing it (with Listen to the speech of one who has ascertained the
something else) truth of his statement

ُ ‫َو َم َى َّ ُت القُ ْز َا ِا َها َح َ َى َّس‬

‫ـــ‬
And love of the nearest ones (the Ahl al-Bayt) do I
seek as a means of nearness (to Allaah)
‫حا َا ِث كُلِّ ُه ْ ِ َم ْذ َه ٌبة‬
َ ‫الل‬
َّ ‫ُ ُّبة‬
Loving the Companions, all of them (without
exception) is for me a (school of) doctrine

ُ ‫يق ِمنْ ُه ْ َف َْض‬

‫ــ‬ ِّ ‫لكِنَّما‬
ُ ‫الل ِّد‬ ِ ‫ـدر وف َْض ٌبـ َس‬
‫ـاط ٌبع‬ ِ
َ ‫َولكُل ِِّه ْ قَ ْ ٌب‬
However, amongst them [Abu Bakr] al-Siddeeq is the And every one of them has a station and a shining
most excellent excellence

‫آ َياحُـ ُه ف َُه َى الك َ ِزي ُ املُنْـ َش ُل‬ ِ ‫جا َء ْج ِا‬

‫ـه‬ ِ ُ‫ىل ِيف الق‬
َ ‫زآن َما‬ ُ ُ‫و َق‬
[In its] verses, for it is the Noble Revelation And I say regarding the Qur'an (only) that which
has come

‫َوَل َحأ َ َّو ُل‬ ِ ‫الها‬

َ َ َ ‫َوامل ُْل‬ ‫ج َاللُه‬
َ ‫جـ‬
َّ ‫ال اللّ ُه‬ ُ ُ‫و َق‬
َ َ‫ىل ق‬
[And likewise] "the Chosen One (the Prophet) [said]," And I say, "Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic said"
and I do not explain away (their speech)

‫ــ ال َِّزا ُس اا َ َّو ُل‬

َ َ‫َ قًّقـا ك َ َما َق‬ ‫َاج ُ ِم ُّبزهـا‬
ِ ‫الل‬ ِ ‫ج ِمي ُع آ َي‬
ِّ ‫اج‬ َ ‫َو‬
In truth, just as the first (and best of generations) And all the verses of the attributes I pass them on
have transmitted [without explaining them away]

‫و َ ُى ُها َعـن ك ُ ِّـ ما ُيخ َ َ َّي ُـ‬ ‫و َ ُر ُّب ُع ْه َدحَـ َهـا إىل ُقَّالِ َهـا‬
And I protect them from all that is imagined (with And I return the obligatory responsibility towards
respect to their realities) them to those who transmitted them (intact)
 ‫ال اا َ ْ َُـ‬
َ َ‫ىل ق‬
ُ ُ‫اسخ َ َد َّل َيق‬
ْ ‫وإإَا‬ ُ ‫حا لِ َم ْن َ َب َذ القُزآ َن َو َرا َء‬
‫قُ ْب ًح‬
And when asked to provide evidence, says, "al-Akhtal Disgrace for the one who threw the Qur'aan behind
[the Christian] said!" his back

ِ ‫و ِإ َىل السم‬
‫ـاء ِا َ ْ ِ ك َ ْي ٍ َينْ ِش ُل‬ ِ
َ َّ َ ْ ‫ـز ْو َن َ قًّقـا ر َّا ُه‬
َ ‫وامل ُؤمنُى َن َي‬
And to the heaven does He descend without And the Believers will see their Lord in Truth (in the
(designating) a how Hereafter)

ُ ‫جـى اأ َ ِّي ِمنْـ ُه ِر ّيا ًح َ ْ َه‬

‫ــ‬ ُ ‫َ ْر‬ ‫ىض ال َِّذ‬
ِ ‫والح‬
َ ِ ‫و ُ ِق ُّبز ِااملِيـ َش‬
‫ان‬
I hope to be (amongst those) whose thirst will be And I affirm the Scales and the Pool which
quenched (by it)

‫ــ‬
ُ ‫هم‬
َ ‫َـز ُي‬ ٍ ‫ف َُم َس َّل ٌب َـا‬
ُ ‫ا وآ‬ ٍ َّ‫ج َهن‬
َ ‫َىق‬
َ ‫ا ُي َم ُّبد ف‬
ُ ‫اللا‬
َ ِّ ‫وكَذَا‬
So (either) one made safe (and) delivered (or) And likewise (I affirm) the Bridge extended over
another forsaken (who will fall) Hellfire (over which all will pass)

ِ َ‫اللن‬
ِ ‫إىل‬ ِ ‫حك ْ َم ٍث‬
ِ ‫الل ِقي ِا‬
‫ان َس َي ْد ُُـ‬ َ ‫ي‬
‫وكَذَا الخَّق ُّب‬ ‫ار َي ْل َالها َّ ُّب‬
ُ َّ ‫والن‬
And likewise (by Divine wisdom) the pious one will And the wretched one will be burned in the Fire by
enter Gardens Divine wisdom

‫ـاا َو ُي ْسـأ َ ُل‬

َ َ‫َع َم ٌبـ ُيقا ِر ُـ ُه ُهن‬ ِ ‫ــ يف قَ ْبـ ِز‬ ِ ‫ولِك ُ ِّـ َ ي َع‬
ٍ ‫اق‬ ‫ٍّي‬
His deeds to accompany him and for which he will be And every mentally-sound living person will have in
questioned his grave

ِ ٍ ِ‫اف ِ ي ومال‬
ِ ‫الل‬
َّ ُ ‫هذا ا ْع ِخقَـا‬
َ ْ َ َّ ُ ‫و َ ِاي َ ني َـ َث‬
‫ـم َد ُينقَ ُـ‬ َ ِّ
And Abu Haneefah and then Ahmad which has been This is the creed of al-Shaafi'ee and Maalik
transmitted

‫ـى ُل‬ ِ
َّ َ ‫وإن ا ْاخ َ َد ْع َد ف ََما َعلَ ْي َ ُم‬ ‫فئ ِن اح َّ َب ْ َد َس ِبيلَ ُه ْ ف َُم َىف ٌبَّق‬
ِ
And if you innovate then no support (whatsoever) do So if you follow their path, then success have you
you have. been granted
