Allah said in Surah Al-Anfal verse 33: 5.DARWISYAH DANIA BINTI MOHD SHAHRIL (211119)

‫َو َم ا َكاَن ٱلَّلُه ِلُي َع ِّذ َبُه ْم َو َأنَت ِفيِه ْم ۚ َو َم ا َكاَن ٱل ُه ُم َع َبُه ْم َو ُه ْم َيْس َت ِف ُر وَن‬
‫ْغ‬ ‫ِّذ‬ ‫َّل‬

Meaning: But Allah would not punish them while you (O

Muhammad) are among them and Allah would not punish them

4. Expansion in provision
while they seek forgiveness.

- Those who repent with a sincere heart will not be punished.

- The Istighfar that we rejoin with a great deal of appreciation and ‫َو َأِن ٱْس َت ْغ ِف ُرو۟ا َر َّبُكْم ُثَّم ُتوُبٓو ۟ا ِإَلْي ِه ُيَم ِّت ْع ُكم َّم َت ٰـًع ا َحَس ًن ا ِإٰٓىَل َأَجٍۢل‬
‫ُّم َس ًّۭمى َو ُيْؤ ِت ُكَّل ِذى َف ْض ٍۢل َف ْض َلُه ۥ ۖ َو ِإن َتَو َّلْو ۟ا َف ِإِّنٓى َأَخاُف َع َلْي ُكْم‬
guilty will also be able to withstand the coming of suffering and
failure.
- Allah will not punish people who istighfar or ask for forgiveness to Him ٣ ‫َع َذ اَب َيْو ٍۢم َكِبيٍر‬

2.Forgiveness and pardon
١١٠ ‫َو َم ن َيْع َم ْل ُس ٓو ًء ا َأْو َيْظ ِلْم َنْف َس ُه ۥ ُثَّم َيْس َت ْغ ِف ِر ٱلَّلَه َيِج ِد ٱلَّلَه َغ ُف وًۭر ا َّر ِح يًۭم ا‬ without Allah's grace,all of our doings will

‫) ُيْر ِس ِل ٱلَّس َم ٓاَء‬١٠( ‫َف ُقْل ُت ٱْس َت ْغ ِف ُر و۟ا َر َّبُكْم ِإَّنُه ۥ َكاَن َغ َّف اًۭر ا‬
‫) َو ُيْم ِد ْد ُكم ِبَأْم َٰو ٍۢل َو َبِنيَن َو َيْج َع ل َّلُكْم َجَّن ٰـ ٍۢت‬١١( ‫َع َلْي ُكم ِّم ْد َر اًۭر ا‬
)١٢( ‫َو َيْج َع ل َّلُكْم َأْنَه ٰـ ًۭرا‬
saying, ‘Seek your Lord’s forgiveness, ˹for˺ He is IBRAH / LESSON
truly Most Forgiving.He will shower you with
abundant rain,supply you with wealth and Allah loves those who beg His
children, and give you gardens as well as rivers. forgiveness and therefore reading
( 71:10-12) istighfar is among the very special
practices loved by Allah Ta’ala. It
-Istighfar open the door of Allah SWT Mercy (verse 10). expresses a sense of weakness
-Forgiveness is one of the causes for Allah Almighty to send rain before Allah Ta’ala and shows Him
down.It is symbolic as well for Allah Almighty to increase us in
we are in need of Him.

promises us that we will be given gardens and rivers (Verse 12).
