Tell Me a Story

Where’s Bear?
#Z+PZ$PXMFZt"SU CZ1BUSJDL(JSPVBSE

Oh no! I’ve lost my teddy bear.

He’s not on the table.
He’s not on the chair.
What a relief—the bear was found! After finishing the story,
talk about all the other toys you see. Then talk about how
the boy would feel if he couldn’t find his beloved bear.
He’s small and cuddly.
He’s got brown hair.
Have you seen my teddy bear?
I looked in the kitchen.

I looked on the stair.

But I can’t find him.
He just isn’t there.
“You can stop looking,” my big sister said.

“Your bear is waiting—on your bed!”

My Box
#Z7BMFSJF.BSDIJOJt"SUCZ%FCPSBI.FMNPO

I play in my box with some of my toys.

An empty box is full of possibilities. Find a box

that your child can play with and follow your
child’s lead. She may surprise you!
When my sister comes in,
We make lots of noise!

Daddy’s Home
#Z)FJEJ#FF3PFNFSt"SUCZ&NJMZ#PMBN

I’m crawling past the kitchen,

creeping on the floor.

Read the story, then encourage your little

one to crawl, creep, scoot, and peek.
Give her a big hug, too!
Scooting to the living room,
heading for the door.
I’m peeking out the window.
I’m waiting till I see
Daddy coming home
with a great big hug for me!

All Grown Up
By Shirley Guendling
Look at me,
I’m all grown up.

After reading the poem and pointing to and

naming things in the photo, talk with your
little one about how he’s growing up. What
can he do now that he couldn’t do a few
months ago?
I drink from a sippy cup.
I tip my cup. I hold it up.

It tastes good. I slurp it up.

Can’t you see I’m all grown up?
